I think you guys are missing the point. I think Star Wars 7 is intended to be a clash of connections between all, or most, of the other movies, hence why there isn't any distinct main character. Eventually in the next two those connections will continue to develop, along with the main character. I don't think the storyline copies any of the other episodes, because it isn't finished, and when it is finished, I don't think you guys will be too disappointed. It clearly is a Disney movie, but it's also a Star Wars movie, which is why it hints at a newer style, but keeping the nastalgia of the first trilogies. That's only my prediction, and I loved it.
