Or, you know, imprisoning folks for **** reasons and for long periods of time.

Falling into massive debt because of an accident is not superior health care. The quality and timeliness of American healthcare doesn't even come close to balancing out the cost.

lel or get fired for not wanting to be pushed like a slave.

Crono is right lol

-Prison rates doesn't mean a countries justice system is corrupt, it just means that the people living there may be more likely to commit a crime, or law enforcement does a better job catching those crimes.

I'd say with any other country, maybe. But America has the highest prison population in the world, we definitely imprison people for more reasons more often than any other country.

However in my opinion if you follow the law this isn't a problem. You could argue that you shouldn't be imprisoned for smoking marijuana, which while thats true; if it's illegal you shouldn't do it in the first place, stuff like that isn't the fault of the American prison system.

You all do realize it could be much, much worse.

Complaining about the minor statistics doesn't prove anything as long as America remains a fully functional country capable of sustaining the vast majority of its population.

I say "vast majority" because its theoretically impossible for everyone to be happy no matter what you do but regardless, it could be much, much worse.

America isn't capable of that, look at all the homeless people?

In the bigger picture only a small percentage is homeless.

Now I'm not saying we should just look past all of that, I'm just saying most of the population isn't in any immediate danger of any sorts.

Yes, all countries have their homeless population but since when has that changed?

In a country of over 300mil do you really expect there to not be a homeless population, especially with huge cities with insane cost of living like LA, Chicago, NYC?

But it's pretty much unavoidable.

Expansion requires money.

Maintenance requires money.

Pretty much everything requires money.

So really can't expect cities to cut down living costs.

Once the Mexicans finish building our wall were going to dig a tunnel from San Ysidro to Tijuana Mexico and we going to smuggled them into Mexico.:D:P

On a serious note: I don't know the statistics, but I would bet a majority of the homeless population suffers from some type of disease. Mental issues, drug abuse, and for veterans post traumatic stress disorder. Even if there was help offered it doesn't necessarily mean they would accept it.

Rent control? Low-income housing programs? One thing about the government is that it has many services for the poor, but their defeniton of poor is pretty much in the brink of homelessness.
