I would suggest the voting to take place in the discord server because it can be easier there with graaalians bot. I also think the voting shouldn’t deteriorate thr winners but to help graal online staff pick the winners

How is voting gonna go? Is it gonna be google site vote? :d
This is gunna be so rigged, i hope unix/staffs just pick out the winners at the end.

While I think ‘asking for a vote’ is a strategy, but at the same time it just makes this entire contest a popularity contest rather than what it was intended for. Should tweak it a bit.

could see a google poll being abused like Zet mentioned so will voting still be limited to forum users and staff?

I am currently considering my options for voting. We have too many submissions to do a poll on Graalians.com, so that isn't an option. I was most recently considering a Google form, where I'd ask for the voter's Graalians username and email to verify they have an active account here (and that they are who they say they are).

Using the official Discord is worth considering. I'll continue considering the method, so I guess if you have suggestions feel free to reply here or pm me them.

Yes, the plan is to have the voting power split 50/50 still. It should help mitigate the risk of this becoming a popularity contest.

The staff should pick like the top 25 videos for each category. Post them in a thread and lock it. Direct the players to the thread for voting options and have them vote in-game (identified plus x amount of hours to vote)

I do hope that everyone who's interested in voting gets a chance to vote.. I just say that cause I've been playing since 2011 and had never even had a graalians account until a couple months ago, and when I made one, I had such a ridiculously long and frustrating experience trying to get it set up.

I do understand why you might want to limit voters though. The last thing I'd want if I won would be to have it discredited to "popularity".

The plan from the start was to have Graalians.com and the GraalOnline administration vote on it, so it is likely that we will keep that element.

Here's the second batch of submissions from people without Graalians.com accounts.

That's some original idea. I loved the whole transition between going in and out of doors and buildings into different servers.
Good luck!

Wtf. What are u?..

edit:
i hope this video is used for Graal Playerworld app advertisement. It really fits in there!

Jarace I have a suggestion. First, let Graalians cast more than 1 vote in round 1. Top 10 videos from round 1 will make it to the round 2, then Unixmad and Graal staffs will cast votes (more than 1) to pick the winners. By doing this Unixmad get to see the top 10 videos himself, also I believe the Graal staffs are very fair from what I've witnessed.
I personally believe it's very easy to persuade users to get votes on a specific person, that'll be never be stoppable and unfair to everyone.

^- if Unixmad likes your video and your video didn't make it to the winner list, he can still use it for the advertisement and pay you $200 (read the OP).

I see why GOAT suggested to involve entire Graal users to counter the problem. but the most of the playerpool doesn't give a ****. So they'll probably either vote on random video, friends video or attractive thumbnail/attractive first 5 second videos.
