i think its about 3$ in the us. you can check several guides (sorry, but cant be bothered to get them all again) and learn it on RC (only obtainable with a gold subscription). when you are hired on an iPhone server, you wont have to pay for it anymore - you will get a free subscription.

So, if you find a guide you still have to learn on RC? What is RC and where does it effect the learning experience? What's the difference of learning code and then applying to a server (aka avoiding costs)?

Who would hire you if they can't see your work? Besides, it's best to apply what you know while learning. If you don't, when writing a script you will most likely forget key statements and mechanics that will render your code useless.

Ok. Then what is RC and how come there isn't a free version for learning?

RC is a free tool, but a Gold GraalOnline account must be entered in for it to work properly.

(Skipped the last few pages, got bored..) As already said, it is very hard to find competant scripters, especially the ones needed to be able to look at all of Era's Systems and script into it without breaking anything, many of the oldbies that could script, have already quit Graal, the others working on servers / not having time to do it..

CTF is awaiting scripts to finish also, sadly people have real life jobs and with so many different projects needing different things, people just don't have time.
You need to understand we are all just volunteers, if you want high end things on a regular basis, tell Stefan to pay out the ass for some scripters x.X

Id rather have a steady stream of new content, than one big glob of it. It's like gum.

It is obvious the players are not satisfied. Seems to me everyone wants a common thing. More frequent updates. Stop holding back IF things are actually done. But again, I feel, the players will be ignored.

First of all, a steady stream of new content IS happening in iEra. New guns, new things here and there. But what constitutes a "GOOD" update to you? There are constant updates, and fixes, but a lot of that goes unnoticed. What you DO notice is the LARGE releases and by only focusing on those releases you fail to notice the smaller stuff. Let me just say that the reason your bored is because it doesn't take a lot to fully exploit a release. You can buy a fkn Call of Duty game, and beat it in one day. Games-get-old-quick.

Also, content is all divided up into multiple sections working together. GFX, LAT, Script, SFX, GANI...A lot of components come into play when releasing something big. Ever thought that sometimes one component is busy, inactive, or undermanned? A single component could stop a release, and again, this is all voluntary. How about YOU find yourself a good team that will fill in ALL these components at a constant working pace.

Your sad as ****.

its a privilege, not a right, and if they quit over it then they should have never been staff in the first place.

who cares what players think, you know, its not like their money is the only thing keeping the game alive, oh wait it does.

WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS, WE PAY FOR ALL OF THIS, WE DESERVE A VOICE, AND WE KNOW ITS YOUR ****ING JOB TO LISTEN TO US, UNLESS YOU WANT TO SINGLE-HANDEDLY FUND THE ENTIRE SERVER!

OH YA YOUR SO RIGHT HIGBEY. PLAYERS PAY FOR THE GAME AND THE DEVELOPERS MUST GET PAID FOR IT TOO RIGHT?! What? you think having the title of "Staff" is ****ing sufficient enough of a return to keep working on a game like this? We have NO, absolutely NO, incentive to continue making ANYTHING for our so called "CUSTOMERS". It's voluntary. We don't get paid. Stop forgetting this fact. Players do not hold ANY power over voluntary staff.

I find that players only recognize an update when it is grouped together as a large offering. It's a shame because if you release something every now-and-again (like you are suggesting) they totally overlook its value. On Classic people only seem to view entire town releases as updates

not true, big towns and stuff just get abandoned, you need to keep a constant stream of content, a actual story, a river to feed players, not tsunamis every 3 months.

Not true? Alright, so if you want a "constant" stream of content, how does releasing some new mounts, or adding in 1 quest a week sound? Does that **** sound satisfying? You can finish a single quest in LESS than an hour (as your eating a fat BLT sandwich and wipping your @ss in the toilet). But would you even consider that an update? No. You wouldn't. The truth is, you ALL would not consider that to be a fkkn update.

So how about all you complaining ******s about a "constant" update, DEFINE exactly, what an update should consist. And stop, jesus fking christ, STOP pretending like making content (still need to define what you queers consider to be "content") is so simple considering the factors of having all working components active and attendant (GFX,LAT,Script,SFX,GANI).

Chill out. People post their opinions, don't all out rage on them.
As for the first part of your post, you are considering bug fixes and weapon changes as an update. The bug fixes don't exactly count as an update to the game, and weapon changes are unannounced, but are appreciated.
What we consider an "update" is new releases of things or new features, things that require a lot of work. We are simply unsatisfied with the lack of these updates, especially after we have been shown sneak peeks at some of these updates a year ago, and nothing has happened. And I am not at all disappointed in the holiday updates, such as Halloween. Those took great effort and time to make for us.
But, we want non temporary new things added, and that is what this thread is about.
