We have a lot of projects that are being heavily worked on and getting a lot of nice artists to help us out. Major updates to come but I can't promise it to be soon.
I do agree right now the tileset we currently have is messy and just this server does need a revamp. We're trying our best to improve but with Christmas around the corner it's pausing our current projects so we can come up with the holiday stuff. Dropbox is empty. A few suggestions:
1. The music. I downloaded the app the other day and the music hurt my ears. It sounded like a song you would hear in the background at the end of a YouTube video or rave music or something. It's obnoxiously loud and I automatically mute when I hear it. 2. The map. The map is, as it is now, just bad. Sooo many styles clash. The candy canes do not at all match the tileset, neither do the Christmas trees or presents. Map layout is not great either. If you want to get somewhere, you basically follow one path to get there. The thing that makes exploration games fun is trying to find different ways to get somewhere. On zone, there's a specific path that takes you where you want go and basically does not encourage much exploration. 3. Delete anything that has nothing to do with a futuristic theme. Why are there oak trees in space? Why is there fishing? Why is there a casino? |

here are small ideas to at least make the "appearance" better:
remove roads bring the old sound track make those floating engines gif make trees/grass gif? add some bright stuff (like guns. Most of the guns that pros use nowadays look like guns that belong in era ;/) |

Shame no fker with talent cares bwt graal as a game.I've give lots of idea on multiple threads, I guess its just finding someone who actually will bother putting that effort in. I.E like for a cool space themed tileset I think they should have big statue with there name/s ongame(personally think that would be really big prize as would forever be on server)
Just a sidenote I think also there is lots of little things that could improve zone, like changing the sea/sky to spacelike and clouds into shooting stars etc also instead of 'removing stuff like fishing because not really on theme how about adjusting/changing it to say like a magnetic tool that draws in rocks with different stuff stuck in them(just an idea of topofmyhead probably could be something better than that.) Furthermore the way we seem to be doing things 'dropthishere' doesnt seem that effective, I think getting other server headstaff involved would increase the likelyness i.e(could go to all ios servs) Era putting in news: Our partners from the future have found a new planet! help them by creating some floortiles etc best will get a cool weapon, if they pitched in and gave prizes for the game they already play then its a winwin playergets whatever in game he/she plays and zone gets some reviving stuff. Its all good to bring Graal together aswell! as the community is always slating each others servers probably another reason why no help comes. |
