Oh dear, I believe you have misunderstood my post.

The relevance between the thread and the portion of my post you quoted is simply an Era-related rap verse, by Maverick in 2007.

In the artist's defense against your claim of racism, The target in the verse is Wil Soul, an African American player; not the entire African American race. Making punches at his personal variables is battle rapping etiquette.

I can assure you that there will not be any 'favoritism' in this competition. Most of the competitors, I didn't really know before this. Plus, I would hate to have favoritism happen in something like this and would love for it to be as fair as possible.

You're getting mixed up. Rap is focused on the spoken word instead of the beat. But that doesn't mean lyrics cant have a good beat that compliments them well. When the beat overpowers the lyrics is when something is wrong.
