@205

Can you timestamp matches in the YouTube video description? Would appreciate, can be difficult to find where specific matches begin and end.

My Impressions:

Wonderful GST! I was surprised by a lot of the results starting with Immortal not getting further, and Trollin going all the way to placing third (congrats Blaze). The staff were wonderful, unlike my previous GST experiences with bad staff, this group seemed to make the tournament run seamlessly. Congrats to RD for placing 1st, I'm glad they were able to fulfill my predictions! Congrats to my teammates at Holy for putting on a very solid effort against one of the strongest teams I've faced in mixed, and Thallen for helping cover me in the end of GST finals. In the end of the Mixed GST finals I used the ":belt" item as a sigh of relief from such a suspenseful series. I apologize to my opponents if they felt offended by my unsportsmanlike act, and I did not in any way mean to belittle them. Afterwards, Thallen stated that I should've withheld from my excessive celebration, and I agreed with him. Was just an in the moment thing, good game neidomu.

What's with this tie bs were we have 1.5 and .5 and they had 1 and we tied

Winers don't talk trash we perform.

James205 11-27-2016 01:33 AM

Uploading full to youtube then I will prob do seperate videos as well.

If you all could help with timestamps on this link I would appreciate it a lot, it's a lot to go through:

Tbh not much of a shock RD won Darkk carried his team well and finally got his first W in GST in what I believe was the most competitive guild spar tournament yet, Same for Holy despite having Rainmaker and John as core they manage to beat out Skulls team.
Really shocking to see Callum and dens team losing too silver after trash talking For so long and not even manage a spot on the podium, from the looks of it should have been Silver Vs RD in finals Based on what I seen.

This is not true , if you want go watch the stream video and you'll see health was equal. Either way this is a poor excuse , your team got a free win when a ******ed admin warped in someone who we didn't want to spar in and we didn't spar the round but they still gave you the win...

Tbh that match should have not been as long as it was , silver gst team kinda did bad this gst , we had a constant mess about in the team which I think lead to a major loss in chemistry within the team. This can be seen though the countless times we tied matches when realistically we should have won't them.

But I rather not dispute it as its in the past now , good job to RD honestly didn't expect them to do as good as they did, probably because I didn't see them spar at all before gst day so good job ! Congrats to all the people who won their first gst!

Also big up to bool , although they didn't win they was defo the underdogs this gst team as they beat trolling which I wasn't expecting one bit despite their inactivity.

Well they had to help him feel better about his :belt
So instead of carrying him on the bench, they carried him in core.

Not sure anyone on here cares about these, but I have the timestamps because I wanted to check how I did

Matrix vs Immortal - 00:46:05
Matrix vs RS - 1:43:40
Matrix vs Amity - 2:19:20

James205 11-27-2016 02:41 AM

Also semi/finals should not have time limit, it's pointless imo

Saber Alumba 11-27-2016 02:49 AM

Also I think this is Idev last gst! I'm sure next gst Idev and mixed will be merged into one single tournament. This is apparent though the cut down of 64 to 32 Idev teams slowed to enter Idev gst.

I think this will bring a new level of competition towards the tournament though and can't wait so see what the best merge between Idev and mixed players will continuously now dominate the tournament.

Darkk 11-27-2016 02:54 AM

@James, some teams would spar for hours so nah.
Should keep idev and mix separate, pcs have an advantage with speed on diagonals, overall two tournaments is better.

I was planning on conserving hp, and playing super cautiously. Judging how in previous gsts that never worked out for me, and teammates advising me that I needed to play more aggressively, I ended up doing just that and it definitely paid out.

Whereas in past gsts my head was always filled with "don't mess it up for your teammates.", I didn't care enough for this one, so I was completely calm throughout the whole tournament. Maybe I was so sure that the team would win that I didn't see any flaws. Thus, making me feel relatively little to no pressure, enabling me to outperform myself, when I really needed to.

This was my best tourney. 2-3 years ago, my team could have probably 4v5ed in finals without me, and still would have won. Definitely come a long way. 85/58 overall, and 26/23 in the finals. I was definitely not pulling in these numbers in previous gsts. Couldn't have done it without my teammates though.

The competition in this game is highly skill-based, but psychological as well.
One slip-up, and it could have easily gone towards neidomu. They were a really tough team.
Glad it was my last tourney, ggs.

Kuz 11-27-2016 02:47 PM

They could maybe make it so that each team MUST have 3 idevice players at least so it's more balanced. Just a thought

If a change like that happens, they should announce it early this time.

Rokar* 11-27-2016 08:10 PM

Just wanted to say GJ RD on winning Idevice. Also very closs between Skulls team and Holy. I would consider not making people wait three months for a tournament. Maybe every 1 and a half months. WaV and Trollin big sleepers in mixed. Surprised Trollin idev was knocked out early aswell. GJ to all teams, Will be rebuilding IoB for next season.

Oops you're right, I went 26/24, forgot to count my last hit taken
5-6(W) 1st round
11-6(W) 2nd round
3-6(L) 3rd round
7-6(W) 4th round

To be fair though, I was probably tired, since I spent hours counting all of my teammates' hits for every match.

Why just not make another aguzo thread idea? :D
MVP pop-up message is alright, but they need a statistic pop-up message.

LiA 11-28-2016 02:21 AM

Can they also add a message beside/below each spar box #( 1, 2, 3,4..) giving us a scoreboard of what the actual match is @ next GST. Too hard to guess half of the time with which team got the last hit while spectating.

Didn't think it would take 2-3 hours. I was just going to count my stats, which took a few minutes. It became complicated, and I had to recount, because some hits just came outta nowhere due to the lag, and it all had to make sense with the 60 hits mark.

I just wanted to know, because some people were pretty much calling me dead weight. Even though I didn't "stay alive" and I "died fast", it was only cause I had to play aggressively against the other team. Otherwise, staying back and not getting hits would have probably resulted in a different outcome.

Some teammates said they did bad, when I thought they were doing great, so I wanted to check their stats as well.

I don't make any more threads, all in here now
http://www.graalians.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36137

Wish there was a stats box for every match. People can just use "showgs" though. Probably better to not have it.

I agree with dark. Right now idevs have the option to challenge themselves sparring against PC if they want to do so. So what's the point in just eliminating idev so that they have to spar in mixed, because let's be honest an idev team is not going to win mixed. It's pointless imo , alumni are just going to dominate again. Shouldn't have to recruit people for gst based on what platform they play on

There's actually a lot of good sparrers on idevice that can beat PC players but yes I'm sure a team of PC players who have been sparring for years will have the advantage no doubt about it. i have yet to see a good ass idevice team beat the best PC spar guild.

We shouldn't all have to. Besides its better and more interesting if there's 2 winning teams every season.

Pretty sure Alex means; if you removed the idev tournament and combined them only mixed players will make it into the tournament(or few idev players will).

I would like it if they just had a "super champion" by that I mean having the idev champion and mixed champion face off. But whichever change they make should be interesting, regardless of what platform you use.

I think a #4/#5 mix team could probably easily beat the idevice side champ (and not necessarily because of skill)

I think everyone knows that the mixed champs would 9/10 times beat the iDevice champs

So why would anyone want to have one tournament , except for PC players or people who could get into a good PC team

And by that I meant people would obviously recruit PCs over idevs , most decent idevs wouldn't have a chance of getting into a good mixed team. Itd already be an uphill battle cuz of the device your on
A lot of people appreciate it the way it is , if idevs want to face mixed players they can already

very likely yes.

But I still prefer it to a single tournament
