First of all, a steady stream of new content IS happening in iEra. New guns, new things here and there. But what constitutes a "GOOD" update to you? There are constant updates, and fixes, but a lot of that goes unnoticed. What you DO notice is the LARGE releases and by only focusing on those releases you fail to notice the smaller stuff. Let me just say that the reason your bored is because it doesn't take a lot to fully exploit a release. You can buy a fkn Call of Duty game, and beat it in one day. Games-get-old-quick.

Also, content is all divided up into multiple sections working together. GFX, LAT, Script, SFX, GANI...A lot of components come into play when releasing something big. Ever thought that sometimes one component is busy, inactive, or undermanned? A single component could stop a release, and again, this is all voluntary. How about YOU find yourself a good team that will fill in ALL these components at a constant working pace.

Your sad as ****.

OH YA YOUR SO RIGHT HIGBEY. PLAYERS PAY FOR THE GAME AND THE DEVELOPERS MUST GET PAID FOR IT TOO RIGHT?! What? you think having the title of "Staff" is ****ing sufficient enough of a return to keep working on a game like this? We have NO, absolutely NO, incentive to continue making ANYTHING for our so called "CUSTOMERS". It's voluntary. We don't get paid. Stop forgetting this fact. Players do not hold ANY power over voluntary staff.

Not true? Alright, so if you want a "constant" stream of content, how does releasing some new mounts, or adding in 1 quest a week sound? Does that **** sound satisfying? You can finish a single quest in LESS than an hour (as your eating a fat BLT sandwich and wipping your @ss in the toilet). But would you even consider that an update? No. You wouldn't. The truth is, you ALL would not consider that to be a fkkn update.

So how about all you complaining ******s about a "constant" update, DEFINE exactly, what an update should consist. And stop, jesus fking christ, STOP pretending like making content (still need to define what you queers consider to be "content") is so simple considering the factors of having all working components active and attendant (GFX,LAT,Script,SFX,GANI).

Chill out. People post their opinions, don't all out rage on them.
As for the first part of your post, you are considering bug fixes and weapon changes as an update. The bug fixes don't exactly count as an update to the game, and weapon changes are unannounced, but are appreciated.
What we consider an "update" is new releases of things or new features, things that require a lot of work. We are simply unsatisfied with the lack of these updates, especially after we have been shown sneak peeks at some of these updates a year ago, and nothing has happened. And I am not at all disappointed in the holiday updates, such as Halloween. Those took great effort and time to make for us.
But, we want non temporary new things added, and that is what this thread is about.

Apologies for the double post. Lag attack on the iPad.

It would be nice if the staff would update the players about these projects. Pimpsy did a nice job with "Pimpsy's Buns" by regularly updating his thread with the work he has done. Of course, that hasn't been released either, since he finished the levels and the graphics and is waiting for someone to script the job.

*breaks into tears* WE MISS YOU PIMPSY!!!

If you guys ever need an extra NAT for a project, you know where I am =)

NAT?

Billy 11-11-2012 05:17 PM

Add underwater base and coming soon in spar complex to your list, and sniper idea will most likely get dropped..

NAT?

NAT stands for NPC Administration Team. Otherwise known as a scripter.

MementoJoker 11-11-2012 05:51 PM

Well, I have to disagree here, Jester and co are saying that staff in general should do fake promises to the public, thus getting the public's hopes up then creating rage when said announcement is canceled for whatever reason.

SnakeRekon 11-11-2012 06:06 PM

Can't be helped if you guys want updates on what we're doing, we give you them..
then the project unforeseeingly has to be delayed, much to our disappointment x.x
It's not like we do it on purpose, we would really like all of these projects to come to fruit and in time, they will.

so you're saying we're lazy?...
Take a moment to think. We work and get some things done. I know you're all upset because it's not finished (some things on that list are basically done) or whatever. But, we still work.
I go to school Monday-Friday, after school i have my job from 3-7pm. On weekends i work on iera. You are happy with the halloween guns/melees yes? Exactly. All staff take their time to make YOU players happy, rioting on a fan forums is rediculous.

I don't believe it's because you're lazy, but it seems mabey some of you aren't focusing on one project.

Projects > Time to work on projects.

people complain about us not finishing projects but yet they come up with more?

lord greg 11-11-2012 07:18 PM

Wouldn't it make more sense to have lots working on 1 project at a time rather than having loads of projects being made slowly? Also wouldn't it be better to make a whole project good. The airport for example is really nice and everything but goes to a hat place. It doesn't seem right having a large project that is kinda useless.

I hope you did read. I said like twice it's not because staff are lazy. I'm just tired of promised content not coming to light and eventually being forgot about. If you call this a riot, you obviously haven't seen what I CAN start. Lmao

Also want to say this while I'm in a relatively good mood to all the staff members commenting, you are showing us your side of the coin. You've explained that people are working on different projects. I think even Calli said only 2 people are workin on Ninja Town and he hasn't even bothered looking at it. This tells me that you guys are not working as a team. As many people have said. Wouldn't it be much more efficient to finish 1 project at a time and give them all the maximum attention an update should require?

Now I ask for you to look at it from the players side before you call this a "riot" (lmao at that term being used here). We are shown something. We get excited. We look forward to it. Then it disappears. No updates. No heads up or progress bar. Nothing. Sure you as staff may see it is finished, but what about us? How are we supposed to know? Because obviously we think that it's just forgotten about and gone. Don't you think it's time for a change in team work and communication between players and staff?

And like I said, if staff need help, players pull a lot of weight when it comes to content. Just ask for help instead of waiting 6 months for something to get it done. I'm not asking for a release now, I'm asking for a change in communication and how stuff is shown.

What staff see and what players see are totally different. And to be calling players or thinking players are ignorant or stupid to be asking why the hell nothing is done yet is out of the question. We know less and no one seems to fill us in until someone does what I have done and bring up the issue as a "riot" (still, lol really?)

njc 11-11-2012 08:45 PM

You know what, i'm not even bothering anymore. You keep changing my words around.
I'm sorry i even took apart in this

why should i take a look at it if they wont need any help? instead, im focusing on other stuff until they need help.

Shock 11-11-2012 08:53 PM

It's like Thunderstorm said on page 2, there's a problem with staff leaking projects. If we don't know about them, there is no problem in the first place. Excluding player contributions.
