She was banned for a bit for harassing someone already, she also has like 10+ alts so she can continue PM'ing people after they block her - same goes with applications outside of Graal which she also uses to bug people.

If a person blocks her 5+ times both in-game and out of game and she's continuing to make new accounts just to bug said person then it seems like a valid reason to ban her to me.

She won't be banned till she starts cussing. Annoyance doesn't warrant a ban. Voltzy is a prime example of that.

She comes up to me and repetitively says "James I'm going to ****ing kill you"

I always wondered what my permanent record looks like for graal

Do they keep a running record of your reports? If I was having issues on graal I would just ask for help on graalians as you have

Just blow that whistle an bring attention to the issue, as you have

Caferino 01-20-2017 10:41 PM

I once got banned 30 minutes by Wafflez (2012 admin) for juggling on top of his character and saying "gralats plox". I don't know man, maybe they have to rely on the tiniest mistakes from players to ban them and show productivity, just don't stare at them, listen to them nor talk to them and you will be fine.

As of right now, NightOwls is a guild for people I'm closer to/friends. There isn't any preference towards anyone and the reason why it may seem like other players don't get recruited is that i don't know or trust them. There have been several instances in the past when we've just recruited people when they asked and it certainly did not turn out well. Some decided to bombard us with silly questions like "give me hat pls" "am I admin now" and so on. Another instance is when they've decided to proclaim themselves as our good Friend and go around telling people "give me gralats or I report you, Milo is my Best Friend"

Following up on this… Milo and Dianthus just hosted events back to back. I made it into Dianthus' event, which was Chance. Coincidentally, every single online member from NightOwls was also in the event: Howl, Yana, Default, and Green.

When it came down to the final, both members happened to be in NightOwls (and I do think that's by pure luck, not claiming that's rigged). Instead of picking an actual winner, the host (who is in NightOwls) selected the remaining two (who are both in NightOwls) and gave both of them a hat?

Seems like a very unusual way to host Chance… Anyway, Milo's reply when I asked why two players would be selected as the winner of Chance:

Two players have won chance before, not a first - there are usually three winners for trivia, two for hide and seek too. I was honestly calling out random letters each time and we somehow managed winning so I have no idea how it could've been rigged as I shouted out the letters before they were even selected.

I was first in the warper as I used my warp ring which coincidently happened to be right next to it...I also was on my Zanza tag for a few hours before the event was hosted.

rigged

That's your word, not mine:
http://puu.sh/txS2m/e45f008166.png

I just thought I'd post to let people know that every single player online in an "admin guild" made it into an event, two of them were lucky enough to make it to the end, and the host (who happens to be in that same guild) chose to give the hat to both of them instead of pick an actual winner… and the reasoning is apparently "because the number of winners is at the host's discretion." I've personally never seen two winners in Chance.

So, people can form their own opinions on that situation, I'm just posting what I just saw.

All the online members of NightOwls getting into the event is purely coincidental. Furthermore the hint given was pretty easy and common knowledge too. Whether or not it may seem believable, I do believe that someone will look into this and prove so.

As elaboration on my reply, yes, it is pretty unusual to have two winners and there is usually only one. However, I do believe that staff have their own unique differences in hosting and two winners were dianthus himself may or may not have intended so from the start. Of course, this is my opinion and I can see how it may seem like a form of biasness, but I know for certain that I had not given anyone a higher advantage over others and I firmly believe that dianthus hadn't either

May I add on once again that NightOwls is in no form an "Admin guild". As mentioned before, the guild only seems so as the people in it are players I've met after they became staff. In no way have I ever nor do I ever intend to give anyone any form of advantage whether anyone chooses to believe it or not.

Thallen 01-24-2017 10:17 AM

Hey, I'm just posting facts. 2500 people online, 50 members to an event warper, 100% of NightOwls make it into the warper, luckily enough two make it to the final in Chance (which, as I said, is an actual coincidence), and the NightOwls host makes an on-the-fly decision that both of them "win."

It's not the first questionable event I've seen and it won't be the last. Just thought it'd be nice to post it here since we had that discussion about how healthy and awesome admin guilds are for the game!

I can see why this seems suspicious. I personally wouldn't pick two winners for chance, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happend before. However, Chance is a game that is basically based on chance, so there's no way to rig the actual game. That being said, letting members of the staff team know about things that concerns you will make them look into cases like this and it might also lead to events being changed to become even more unbiased than they are today.

David 01-24-2017 11:19 AM

Sorry Milo but you have to understand why I find it hilarious that you think saying "there will be an investigation" actually means anything at this point. There's just no real way to prove anything happened or didn't happen. It just looks waaaaay too coincidental for it to have happened the way it did without any bias.

I personally don't think you did anything weird here, but I can't hold the GP who doesn't know that the command to open the door in chance is "/open" to the same standard. Either way, being extremely defensive about it isn't really earning you any points here.

Also going to emphasize this since people are clearly just choosing not to read it, or something:

Seems like he hosted and then gave a prize to 2 players because they're in his guild after all :^)

Anyways who even cares just some hats

Okay, so I thought I'd do a quick rundown of the situation below with the key points being made.

The Statistics

I can understand that from a certain perspective, it could be perceived as being rigged. With the statistics you provided (if they are accurate, for arguments sake I'm going to go with them) only 2% (50 players) of the player base gets to participate in the event and for 5 of these players to all be apart of the same group does seem odd. I can also understand that you're somewhat frustrated that out of the 50 people who were playing, the 2 players who won were both apart of the same guild as the one running the event.

But when you look at this from another perspective, has this happened regularly? I haven't seen any other posts complaining about events being biased towards the admin's guild neither have I seen any posts to suggest that this has happened before. If what Howl said is correct in him finding the event warper, then it seems just as likely that he and his guild could all have gone to the same place and all participated in the event, especially if he was one of the first ones there. As Milo said regarding the location of the warper; "the hint given was pretty easy and common knowledge too. Whether or not it may seem believable, I do believe that someone will look into this and prove so. "

From these two examples alone, it seems that there has been some history of multiple participants winning the prize. This links back with the previous observation, there has never been an issue with multiple winners beforehand and it seems that these event winners both being apart of the same guild is just a one off event.

Final thoughts

I saw Milo's original post and I don't think she's done anything wrong. She made a point that you are somewhat warping the facts and I do agree with her. This is a one off situation. She's even being reasonable enough to being open to the idea of this situation being looked at and investigated.

I really don't think anything suspicious happened here. A one off instance of people winning who are in the same guild doesn't really go to prove that there's admins secretly rigging events. I think at the end of the day you're looking too much into a situation that was purely luck that they happened to win. Yes, it is unusual for 2 winners, but nobody has kicked up a fuss about it in the past. Maybe rules could be put into place regarding this such as announcing there will be 2 winners beforehand?

It sucks that you didn't win a fancy hat that you could show off, but hey - who knows? maybe next time you might win :P

Obviously there has never been fuss about 2 people winning before since we were never even aware it was allowed or that it happened at all rip
So it does come down to favouritism

Easy fix is not giving out 2 prizes ever again since it's unfair for anyone else that has gotten/will get a second place in any other event

Zetectic 01-24-2017 11:58 AM

Chance never had 2 winners when I played. Admin just let it roll until a person dies out.

and hide and seek was always 2 winners.
