Sprint Bar
 

Why not have add sprinting to the game? I guarantee it would make things interesting. This could work by simply having a small bar at the top right corner of the screen. Sprinting could be activated by double tapping the movement d-pad. If your sprint bar falls low you could simply eat food or wait a short period of time. I think this would be cool if you needed to quickly escape a scene or just to make a quick transportation. If your like me and have many items in your inventory you know that digging through your inventory to find a skateboard or car keys isn't always the quickest thing. I know this idea sounds a little bit like the concept of the sprint meter in minecraft, just thought I might bring this idea to the table though. Another idea would just be the ability to store skateboards and car keys in your quick tap bar, I hate having to open up my inventory and possibly get killed just to have something equipped for a short period of time. There would also be areas were sprinting could be disabled, for example maybe inside of buildings like the hospital. It would also have to be disabled in events because it wouldn't be fair in races. If you are in the water you could also do a adrenaline rush and swim through the water faster. If this is used too much you could potentially get cramps taking down a small amount of health. I just think gameplay would be a little bit better if any of these ideas was added, thank you! :)

The bar should drain quickly, so you can only do it in short bursts.

Atrius(An old graal PC server) had sprinting.
It was alright.

We're in the process of adding a gym to enhance this aspect of gameplay.
Im curious to see what kind of input this idea gets though.

Sounds cool, but could get annoying when your prey is running away from you.

I was just going to suggest this, but you beat me to it. Anyways, it's useful because when you're enemy runs, you can't catch up because you have the same speed.

It wouldn't be a very long term thing, I was thinking more like what laz said. The sprinting ability would be a very short term thing, it would drain quickly and have let's say a 10 second regeneration. It wouldn't just be where everyone is flying around the map, yah you could escape a close combat situation but you wouldn't get too far in terms of how long the ability itself lasts.
