Leaderboard questions
 

Don't let the forums die. Do I need to make a graalbusters episode? Everything is so quiet...

So, the new ladders, not nexus, the boards, leaderboards, the new leaderboards...

Some things, that I think would be great to add. I'll enable you to multi-vote, if that's what it's called. So you can not just like one idea, but many. That way I know, which one doesn't seem good/less popular ones.

They shall be numbered, so choose the numbers correctly. (No pressure)
If you can't count, just pick the number that you think looks the coolest.

IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER IDEAS ON BOARDS THAT COULD BE ADDED, THEN JUST POST IT/THEM.

"most hated graalian", would be a terrible leaderboard.

1. A trophy/reward for everyone in top 50. Not an item, but something to keep as a medal in the menus, so you can... you know what... When will there be achievements? iEra has em... even delteria... Basically a record in your profile, of the highest rank you have achieved during any given season.

2. Would be nice if we knew what the trophy/item was for the top 50... instead of "Supplies, here you go! Another item that looks like hi5 or coin, just without an actual command"

Winners receive "This item (Pictures in menus)"

3. House leaderboards, this is a social game after all? Could the honor points or something similar work towards having a house leaderboard? Would be nice to have this really pimped out/stacked up house with tons of furniture and personal lore. Possibly with quests or "hard mazes" that make you money, and then have people "up-vote" it. Of course there would have to be a way to not let people boost. Would be funny if people start paying for you you to like their house :)

4. You already know this... Bug hunting, looting, guild pking.

5. Streak board. Would be nice to see everyone's highest streak, even if they aren't record breakers. Would make people use streak room even more. Instead of you know, "100000 streak... wtduck... I'm not gonna try to break that..."

6. I would probably never try to get the highest score on any of the categories for the season, but it would be nice if the people/guilds who hold the highest record/s get placed somewhere in a "hall of fame", and get replaced once someone else breaks their record for the season.

7. Your favorite graalian leaderboard? Where you rate your favorite person in the game... I can already smell victory.. :p jk. I'd probably get 5000 "thumbs down", and get #1 for "most hated graalian."
Obviously, staff wouldn't be able to participate, even their player accounts. Would that be fair, to not let their player accounts participate? Idk...

6. Nah, I don't think so. I would much rather have a simple track on who have won each season as opposed to a high score board.

7. Can see those "#126 favorite player" statuses already. Would cause too many problems.

Tbh most of your ideas not just in this thread but other threads too are alright, its just ones like these that are too cringy

I agree with the comments, but favorite graalian should be a thing.

Points would be awarded to those who help the community, who are downright nice people, for being your friend, etc

You want a popularity contest that would be between Former admins and Thallen?

If the person is doing something useful like giving directions/being a guide for a nub, I don't see why they can't be repped. If you are doing nothing, you aren't going to get points for it... Would encourage people to be nicer towards everyone, even if it's a fake act.

Examples:

Giving someone directions towards a certain building.
Helping someone buy a certain item.
Just being nice.
Helping someone gain points in gs.

It's just an idea though, if people like/don't like, won't affect me.

Its kinda sad if people did that for the sake of a prize and not just out of good will, and Areo is right - you'd probably see the same faces on there anyway.

Past admin accs? Like I said, people won't give you rep for doing nothing. The people who gain rep have to earn it. Neither current staff nor their player accs can gain rep.

Maybe it doesn't even have to be part of a leaderboard, could just be a stat in profile.

Achievements would be nice

But people will rep you for doing nothing. That will happen.

And I feel like its something that would just snowball - the same people would keep getting voted for purely for the hell of it. if I had to use made up statistics it would almost be like a top 5 would receive most of the vote while everyone else is just random.

For example, to drop a few names - Firefighter Jeffrey, princejeffyps3 and his bro, a few of the GPs... all great people and help out the community in some way or another, but I can't really imagine a leaderboard where they aren't topping it constantly.

It wouldn't have to be a leaderboard if everybody feels as if you would get rep for doing nothing. It could just be a stat on your profile, or non existant. It's whatever.

Would show up as a number of the amount of players that upvoted you.
