iPod 5g!

Whos getting one? :D

"While the current line consists of three identical iPod touches with different storage capacities, the report says that for 2012, the lowest-level storage tier will retain the fourth-generation 2010 design, while the two higher level models will get an upgrade."

DragonRider 09-09-2012 08:50 AM

I'm getting an iPhone 5 when I have the money.

Talon 09-09-2012 08:58 AM

My 4S is fine. Not usually hit by upgrade-itis on portable devices.

Psycher! 09-09-2012 02:00 PM

I like my iPhone 4, thank you.

V. 09-09-2012 02:37 PM

They all look the same.

callimuc 09-09-2012 02:38 PM

the nano looks awful and is turning into an iPod. the iPod could be cool, but not necessary if you have the 4G

Pimpsy G. 09-09-2012 02:46 PM

In my opinion the ipod is always more necessary since you can save a lot of money and basically do all the things that iphones can do, while just using a prepaid phone for the calling/texting part. This saves a ****load of money and bypasses all those annoying data plans. So I am very excited about a new generation of ipods.

Pazx 09-09-2012 03:07 PM

BUT NO DATA PIMPSY

NO PLAYING GRAAL IN PUBLIC PLACES

HOW WILL WE SURVIVE

Skill 09-09-2012 03:25 PM

probably not. I don't even use my iPod for gaming that much anymore like I used to, I just use it to browse the web when I'm away and listen to music.

Excuse I'm gonna take a trip to apple. Stupid apple and the new ipod they deserve what's coming for them

Imprint 09-10-2012 04:29 AM

There's no need to replace my **** until it breaks. Not even gonna buy an apple product next time anyways.

Planned obsolescence:

When companies design their product to have flaws that result in needs for upgrading or buying a new one, often designed to break after the warranty has ended while not breaking so soon as to discourage the consumer from buying another.

Implied obsolescence:

When companies release a product boasting that it's the newest and greatest thing, often making older models appear bad, when few improvements have actually been made.

Honestly, regardless if you're an apple fanboy, apple does both and its pretty much a fact. iPhone and iPod batteries are literally designed to slowly die over time, and if that doesn't get you half the apps on the app store will be obsolete when you're device is 4+ years old.

I actually have to agree with this. For example when they announced iOS 6 they made it seem like it was a huge revolution in mobile operating systems, when all they did was add/update existing prebuilt programs and put a bunch of facebook features in. And maybe a few features onto Siri. Society is easily swayed by advertisement, look at the iPad. Nothing really special about it, yet it is incredibly hyped and viewed as some kind of masterpiece...

All rechargeable batteries are like this, it's a technical limitation not a design decision.

That's why I stopped buying AC.
Anyway, I won't buy the iPod 5, since it doesn't have any GREAT features.
