Football Season

That time of year again.

Favorite team?

Steelers fan

Panthers, but we played like ass today. If we can get an effective pass rush going and not try to force things on offense we will be great this season.

Talon 09-10-2012 02:04 AM

Fingers crossed my Patriots bring home the rings this year.

They sure as hell looked good today. They fixed a lot of their problems that they had defensively; I probably should have started their defense on my fantasy team today.

49ers! Wooo!

Texans. Super Bowl time. Jj watt is going to force analysts to track a new stat: quarterback pass deflections.

They already track that.

I don't pay too much attention to football but I am a cowboys fan.

Really? Where? I'm talking about a lineman swatting down the pass before its started its path towards a receiver

DragonRider 09-10-2012 05:48 AM

Go Yao Ming! Wait a minute...

Pazx 09-10-2012 06:16 AM

Yep, they keep track of all that. Basically any thing you can thing of they keep a record of (i.e. hurrying the QB, QB knockdowns, pass deflections, tackles for a loss, ect.) Some of the stats you won't necessarily see in a news paper but if you play fantasy football you'll see that a lot of different things are recorded.

Hmm. you mean american football.

Chaotic 09-10-2012 08:08 PM

American football, yeah.

Pretty disappointed in Todd Haley. His whole strategy last night was running the ball, and it didn't work. Then the few times he decided to call to throw the ball, we gained a ton of yards. Sucks that we can't find a good Offensive Coordinator, but glad we have **** LeBeau still after all these years.

Oh, please, could you guys do some research before you start saying that "soccer" is the "Real" football? Although it has been around much longer and has traceable roots, it was not until the mid 1800's that it was officially called "Football" and had any legitimate organization outside of backyard pastimes. By the time the sport was introduced to the united states' popular culture, gridiron football, or "American football" was already popular, so we used the nick name "Soccer" to describe it that the english had also used at the time to call the sport. Neither is correct, and neither is certainly the "Real" football. Its all relative to what people around you call it. Thats ridiculous to accuse that. And its also arrogant and rude.
