Poll Regarding GST Time
 

I think the Guild Spar Tournament should be at 9 pm est. After talking with some people we agreed that the Gst is always too early. It's on Saturday's usually and always during the day. People work on saturday's or do other things during the day if it was later at night this wouldn't be a problem. A lot of people are usually on before they sleep and I doubt anyone has a bed time lol. The majority of people who play Graal live in the U.S. I know this wouldn't help all areas but it would help some. Example: My friend has to get up around 3 am in the Phillipines to participate this would surely help him and others. Not only are people out and about during the current gst time, alot of people are eating dinner and have to even miss some rounds because of this. Let me know what you guys think if you want it to be later, kept around the same times, or make it a different time I didn't mention. Thanks.

that would be like 2AM in UK and 3AM in germany etc... If anything it should stay at what it was the very last gst or like an hr early.

Isn't it usually friday/saturday nights? Usually the time is decent, I'm fairly sure the last time was awful though.

It changes around from like 3-6 pm est which I think is too early. People do stuff during that time.

It should be a set time, but I don't know about 9PM EST. Need to think about people in Europe where it'd be well past midnight.

WHAT NO! That would be 3 at night for me(Norway) then all people that live in europe will get GST at night

People don't have bed times lol. If the time can't be changed then the day should be changed to friday same time. Saturday during the day just sucks in my opinion people are busy.

I'm not saying that the time shouldn't be changed, but 9PM is stupid.

It's already like that for others with the current time. No matter what time it is some people will have to suffer getting up late. Majority come from United States the time shouldn't be during busy hours for the majority.

The kids are on their damned phones anyways, 5 or 6PM should be fine.

It is ALOT of other players and the time we have now work for all
so it should NOT be changed because of that.

It does not work for all obviously you didn't read my post about my friend having to get up at 3 am to do the Gst because of the current time.

Figure out a time we can all agree to then, because i really dont like to wake up at 3 to do gst. I have tons of sh*t to do and This is the only event or even the only thing thats making me wanna play graal even though i am not even in a position to play it as much as i used to before because of college but It'd be awesome if gst time would be changed to a time that everyone can agree to really. Thnx

Last time we held it at 4 PM EST on a Saturday.

West Coast - 1:00 PM
Mountain Time - 2:00 PM
Central - 3:00 PM
East Coast - 4:00 PM
UK - 9:00 PM
France/Germany/Netherland/Spain etc - 10:00 PM
Australia - 8:00 AM (Sunday)
Japan - 6:00 AM (Sunday)

The event takes about a couple hours to complete, and this is pretty much the best time to host unfortunately that may inconvenience those in East Asia but that should be expected given the game is primarily NA and Europe players.

Make it 5pm or 6pm est, NA wont be affected and im sure the european area wont mind gst to be a little bit late at night since the fact majority graal players play way past midnight anyway especially weekends. Thats when gst will occur... And also because i certainly dont like for gst to be starting first thing in the morning again -_- very least make the right time for asia server to be 6 or 7am UTC+8

The world is round. No matter what time you change it to someone will be affected. The current time, as fp4 said, is fine and accommodates the majority of people.

The current event time is a reasonable time of day for all the places in the world with the highest population of Graal players. Players in the UK end up at 2-3 AM anyway after the GST is over, while players in the USA finish up at about 9-10ish. You can't make it a perfect time for one time zone, while other time zones suffer like that. I would like it at a later time.. but hey, it really wouldn't be fair.

For example, Japan.. If the GST begins at 9 PM EST, that means all the Japanese players will have to wake up and be online at 10 AM JST for the event to begin. Everyone in between the USA and Japan would have to play at a ridiculous hour. I'm sure you can handle a little discomfort to allow our foreign friends to also participate at a reasonable time of day? :)

The time can't be adjusted to be fair, no matter what someone will be at an inconvenience. So if it's not at a convenient time for you your options are man up or move across the world.

I'm always busy at 6 PM on Saturdays, so I've never gotten through a GST without ending up AFK in the middle of a spar.

I really dont see how u need to man up for this lol, but whatever. discussion ended. Tried to get a new time at least 1-2 hours later than usual but can even have that. Oh well

Exactly, I am surprised more people aren't working or outside doing something at this time on saturday's in the U.S. Reason I posted this thinking there were more then just me lol. Idk why people are complaining about getting up late if time changes the same people have had to deal with it for a long time so if time changes different people will get to participate and others will get stuck with the crap times. It only seems fair.

The timing of the gst is fine and is at a good time for people just because it inconvenience you and two other people doesn't mean the whole thing should be ruined for everyone. Its very inconsiderate and ignorant from your side.

If you seriously want to compete, you can have dinner later, stay up later or get up earlier. No excuses.

Yeah sure i give up. Yeah it does sorta kill me actually, i have school monday to saturday from 7am to 8pm and when i arrive home at night i have to study past midnight for pop quizzes and tests to get a good grade which I have no sleep at all. So when gst week arrives im gonna have again no sleep because i have to get rdy for gst And only reason i put Graal on my name is because i thought it was required for when registering otherwise i wouldnt have put it on as my username

I'm not sure you understand how time works "kid", moving it lets say two or three hours ahead as you're requesting would be very late for European players most likely resulting in many of them not participating. You fail to realise that this time slot suits to majority of players, but you want it changed simply because your mommy will shout at you for having your iPod at the dinner table.

Others are at inconvenient times with the current time changing it would give them a break is what I mean you fail to see that no matter what time it is there will still be someone at an inconvenient time. My
point is why should it be the same people every time. Doesn't matter anymore I was just curious if anyone else wanted this.

Btw my reason is I work on Saturday's during the day, don't just assume things.
