Era players getting crappy?

So for the past few days I wanted to get a Scary Face, I traded with this guy, and I got scammed.

I learnt my mistake, I will not go first. Now I have 3 other people who has it, but they don't go first.

Now the problem is that traders don't trust each others and they mistook the actual trader for a scammer. This does not bring era far.

Is there something we can do about it? Add something called a fame where people can up you if you didn't scam and is helpful. Or defame a person when they scam and doing something bad? So we can tell the good and the bad.

Don't trade

romario786 10-04-2012 04:16 PM

Just don't trade simple!

Off topic: why can I see birthday cakes on top of the forum?

MementoJoker 10-04-2012 04:38 PM

Don't trade.
Defaming/faming can and will be abused.

Ghettoicedtea 10-04-2012 05:01 PM

Dont trade. Trading is very pointless

RedBoy786* 10-04-2012 06:38 PM

Yeh, it does suck if you want an item but because of the 'fair' community of era, it is literally impossible to find someone legit :(

Ghettoicedtea 10-04-2012 06:44 PM

To everyone who will post saying "thats why era meeds a trade system"

They dont

Era needs scammers as America needs illigal immigrants.

callimuc 10-04-2012 06:52 PM

there have been many people attempting to make a list of people who scam... change your nick and all of the sudden you are a new player who "never scammed".
by advertising people could be a better solution, but still not the best. friends could advertise each other even though they are scammers to scam even more players. totally legit players could get deducted by having flamers/people who dont like them saying that they scam. and again in a group of flamers that one player would be "a scammer" all out of the sudden.

the only way is: dont trade, or trade with people you really trust

lolol the forums are probably bugged again :P try to clear your cache, could fix it aswell

CHAOS* 10-04-2012 08:11 PM

I'd trade you if i had it... I hate scamming and would help rebel against it.

RedBoy786* 10-04-2012 08:15 PM

I would trade you and 99% get scammed. Or, I could just keep to to myself.

I think I'll stick with the second option.

BootySlayer 10-04-2012 09:28 PM

I don't personally see how scammers help the economy. Unless its because people quit and new suckers take their place maybe?

I think era needs an "eBay" system so people can get rid of unwanted items and others can complete collections. It could be a better way of boosting the economy than having to see "trading rares you drop first blah blah blah" and that way era still sells gralat packs which is apparently the main goal. Two birds one stone.

Scammers don't help the economy, but a trade system would hurt the economy. This has gone into detail for countless other threads, so there's no point in me explaining.

Trading hasn't been added to iEra, so you can't actually trade for anything. The only possible method for item transfer is dropping. Let me emphasize this again: dropping. This is not the fault of the Graalians Community, it's just you dropping your item where anybody can take it. If the staff really wanted to deteriorate scamming, they wouldn't add fame, they would add an actual trade system (which should not be done) or disable the dropping system (which I fully support for all future items).

Maybe we could have a 5 star rating on our profile when people liked you or not liked you by rating it.

Even if you need a scaryface, the best thing to do would be to trade with a friend.
Scamming has been around since the beginning of era. THere is nothing you can do about it, (Except for trading system WHICH will probably not be published any time soon) But the best thing to do would be giving non-scammable or items. Like say recruits to ebizou; they're is a ton of little punks out there trying to get it! Or say, a rank up? So you can go first, and if they 'scam'you can just kick/derank. You can do whatever you want, I'm just pitching ideas

Jester Lapse 10-05-2012 08:35 AM

You're all dumb. If someone is a good person it will be known simply because of their actions. A rating system is bull **** and anyone who thinks its a good idea is just waiting to blackmail someone or boost their own with nub accts. if you're honestly concerned about bad players, mess with the ones who have a reputation to lose.

Shock 10-05-2012 01:52 PM

Ive never scammed. I don't know where people get off stealing. Of course for protection I never drop first, when i trade which is rare. Only thing i want to part with is my maraca.

PoeticFolly 10-05-2012 02:55 PM

Fun fact of the day: I used to scam. Scammed a ton of stuff in a week. Then I felt bad; so I stopped

Wabbit 10-05-2012 03:32 PM

i don't know how many times many others and i have said this, but don't trade at all

MementoJoker 10-05-2012 07:34 PM

Lol'd at "getting".

You haven't heard my story how my hammer got stolen. It's more than getting scammed. I choose not to type the whole story in this thread. If you are curious to hear my story, pm me. Otherwise I'll put it in spoilers if I feel like it.

Edit: Ok. ok. I had to get this over with. No one is gonna care but if you are curious to hear my story "The story of 1 of 1000 scammed victims". No player names will be involved in this story.

A gang member who was in my gang for quite awhile helped me make a video. (will refrain uploading the video) Later during the week, he begged the heck out of me for my hammer. He swore to God that he will return it back soon. (he would borrow my hammer and it's a powerful promise) Unable to withstand it, I gave him the hammer. When his hammer time was up, I asked for it back. He said he wanted to keep it longer. I kept convincing him to give it back. He eventually logged off to avoid me. I eventually asked him the next day to give it back. He made a rather bad excuse to log off. Saying his phone is low on batteries. He just logged off again. Knowing now that he is trying to avoid me, I told my friends that I no longer have my hammer. My friends being very defensive and learned who stole my hammer, demanded him to return it back. (heck...the whole gang except the theif was defending me >_<) He would try as many methods as he can to avoid us. Such as claiming his brother is playing, etc. But we countered them. He eventually gave up and admit guilt but never dropped it. I told him warnings why he should give it back. Betraying a friend and breaking a promise was not a good thing. He lost his friends in the ally gangs and the main gang. He once claimed that he is a scammer and he is proud. Bam! A load of hate messages to him follows up. It wasn't funny. I remained silent. He showed the hammer he stole from me to other friends who don't know about the story yet. They found it suspicious since he said he got it from an auction and claiming full owner ship of that hammer. They came up to me soon after learning that the hammer was stolen. (Even people I didn't know before or people who weren't in my gang or ally gang.) They learn the full story. They then realize how evil it was to betray a friend, steal his hammer, and claim full ownership of it. Continuous days of begging for the hammer back. (every day gang members ask me if I got my hammer back) The theif then had the guts to say that he loves his hammer more than his friends. It's a sad story. But's it's true. This is no original story. It has happened to many scammed victims. This is the dark truth of era.

Do not feel alone victims. I shared you my story. This is truth of era.
