Off Map
Staff have officially closed off all off-map areas. F*** staff for eliminating the one interesting thing left in this game. Going off map was a completely fun and HARMLESS activity.

I miss glitching out of the map too lol. Although it looks unprofessional if the game is full of glitches. The game needs more updates that actually make it more entertaining. There have been hardly any updates that add fun content to it at all lately.

All there's been so far are the usual hat updates and the ability to purchase character slots, which is useless to anyone who hasn't bought the original pack.

The reason I am replying in the way that I am is because I don't think that players know what they want from the server. Jobs are only there for making more money, and money is only useful for things like clothing updates. The same logic could be applied to a trading system and that is one of the most requested features. This isn't gameplay.
I've noticed that since I became a staff member I've been involved in doing updates under themes such as holidays. This isn't gameplay either. However, the majority of the playerbase expects this type of time-sensitive content to be produced. You see it in-game, you see it on the forums, and it truly goes against what I want to see as a player of the game. If nothing was released for Halloween, Christmas or those obscure 'holidays' that we're told to celebrate there would be floods of tears about that too. You can't win. It's obvious that the staff are distracted by **** that doesn't last very long and it has been this way since the start. When I didn't have to pander to the playerbase I was able to sell my ideas to others and content was produced. Nobody has attempted to do the same. Perhaps it's laziness (I mean, it is easier to whine) or perhaps the playerbase really doesn't know what it wants. Either way, it's always vague and not helpful to anyone. The moral of the story here is, if you feel like you truly know what you want from your server, start expressing yourselves with a bit more depth and actually sell your ideas. |

One thing to add as well, this game is a business. By still playing this game, it shows that you're still supporting it.

Saying, "Oh, I have a great idea! What if we have quests, and when you beat the quest you get a new item!!" is not an idea. Not to mention simply suggesting more quests and content is not that helpful either, chances are the staff that care are trying to get actual content done... but real content, especially quests, are very time-consuming to get done; and for what? You can put months into getting a nice quest done but decent players can complete them AT THE LONGEST in a day, and bad players will just have other players or tutorials walk them through it. Months of hard work useful for an entire day. MoD was released and literally a couple of days later people were whining for more content.
Then you have the problem with what Rufus said, where players want content while they wait for more content. There's always some holiday going on, and players always expect **** done for every holiday or time of year, so you have to put off time from actual content to keep players happy with trivial stuff like that. TL : DR? It's harder than it sounds. While it's pretty easy to come up with vague ideas, the actual workload involved is way more than any of those people can comprehend. |
So basically what I'm getting from this is that if people want gameplay improvements that last a paid development team is pretty much required (which graal obviously is not going to have)

To the out-of-map(being inside areas not made for a player to be), there were a lot of harmful ones. For instance: I've found one glitch spot where I actually got into the "admin island" and was able to explore it, the another one I was able to go around all the oceas in the east side of graal which had no way of exit and lead to a cave which wasn't enterablemwhen I did it but could have been if I tried now possibly.

if had lots of ideas posted on creative section, and ive seen others, it seems a great deal just goes dead and is forgotten even when people like it.
heres a idea anyway, a dragon that flys over graal, a giant moving shadow flying over the land, (accompanied by dragon noises like flapping wings and roars, and a fire breathing noise) and randomly lands and sets fire to everything and "kills" the npcs and gaurds in that area, if its shot with a fire arrow (achievable by shooting a arrow just as it breaths fire at you, or by shooting a arrow through a bomb explosion) it drops a scale and flies off, scales are only pick up able by the person that shoots it, this way players cant steal it, its only requiring one hit so no stealing kills, and 5 scales can be used to craft a special shield (not affecting the actual graphical set shield) that can block horse breath if you face it and stay still like normal shields block arrows. addition scales can be traded in for money. how about some achievements? a fist fighting ring where you can fight other players with a left hand and right hand, and down movement and up movement, pressing down both hands can block, tapping the hands punch with the hands respectivly, double tapping with a hand does a upper cut, that will be countered if the other player blocks when you do a upper cut, double tapping both hands at the same time performs a combo. this can add a whole new thing, instead of just sparring, imagine guild fighting, fighting instead of rps, would be a new stat, and perhaps could give you the ability to get a "block" weapon that can block a sword slash if you press it when someone slashs at you and you are not faceing your back to them, |

Now we know how you stand on the matter, I can see why it would be annoying everyone asking for 'quests/storylines etc with no actual idea' But If I remember rightly didn't higbey have a full project(the void) and sent to Xor only then to realise that they scrapped it without even concerning him -if im wrong and it wasn't complete or something, why not start with this? Saying that you don't have time with all the holidays, is a pretty poor excuse if you can't handly more work maybe hire more(not graphics.just scripters and LAT's because they is people about that will help,if actually given the chance)
If true that the void project is done lets start by adding this void storyline back, we have other 'party' places anyway, as you said there will always be someone to whine about anything that happens but, atleast in this case it would be a step in the right direction. Personly though I don't think its about us not giving exact ideas/making quests etc.(because some have) I think really its out of the staff/even the Developer Rufus's hands and it's all coming from Xor and Stefan, but I doubt they would give clarification on that. |

Just add fishing. add more kind of swords. MAKE IT A RPG. new kind of shields. New kind of arrows!
It is very simple, though. Stop making ****ty pixels(hats, mounts) and make fun things. I'd really like to see armors implemented(for gods sake, if you implement this, don't make "Different style pixel armors", or expensive armors). Let us enchant our weapons. Give us some new attacks!. But i guess i wont be adding more ideas cuz knowing this game, they'll make everything cost more than what i gain in a year of working. |
Your asking for ikingdoms Lol . They'd have to remake the whole game for those things . Jus simple time consuming and fun activities is all classic really needs
