Phishing: A clever way to trick someone to gain information to one's advantage.

Phishing Site: A site with a main purpose to steal passwords, credit card info, etc.

You should always look out for Phishing sites. NEVER enter the same password for everything. Also, look at the URL at the top of each page to confirm it's not a copy of amazon or something.

Phishing sites could be a replica of Facebook or your Bank Account. Of course, you can't log into a copied site because they don't know they database info.

You want to know how PoeticFolly got his Graalians and Email account lost? He was phished by someone on this site.

If you've ever Phished, just remember, it's illegal and if you make yourself known, the FBI will be after you.

But yeah, used to do something like this and phishing people's MC accounts. Then I hacked their email because if people are ******ed enough to believe a "Minecraft Premium Duplicator", they're stupid enough to use the same pw for their email.

If a person supposedly from 'microsoft' calls you up, and starts asking you stuff. Go along with it and pretend your stupid and then say. "No mine says mac" lol

Ugh, someone fell for this that was one of my friends on facebook. Now everywhere I look on facebook it's someones account posting 'lol go to ----- and sign up for your free ipad!'.

You know you can report a friend's account as compromised, right?

Oh, in that case it may be a case of not being compromised, but that they gave a ****ty app full privileges. Facebook is stupid, and every single app ever demands you give it full privileges to use, and Facebook thinks that's an okay sort of thing so people end up just doing it to do anything... yet when you do that you give an app full access to not only all your information but even letting it post on your wall and such.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with any apps.

That's one of the posts. It's not letting me go to the site because it's unsafe it tells me. But it would be an exact replica of a facebook page that you could log into.

That is how my account was stolen... It had been bothering me for days on end. I didn't know how my account was stolen. Then I found out. I had signed up for some graal website (I don't remember which.) and since I'm really stupid and I use the same password for everything that I do. Ever since my account was stolen and that there was more than enough evidence, snk still doesn't believe me. No one really does even though he made a thread about it and emailed snake rekon. The part that makes me even more mad is he didn't stop at my graal account; he hacked my Facebook. It's one thing when you go and take my graal account. I can handle that. But, when you go and take my Facebook: and delete it. That's going too far. /rant

You can reactivate it. You can never delete your account they save the information.

Well, the thing that happened was: when the FB account was taken from me, he changed the password of the FB and the E-Mail. Therefor, I couldn't get it back. Trust me I've tried.
