Tutorial: Shading/Dithering
 

In this Tutorial I will show you how to shade. I'm going to make a Simple Circle as an example.

Step 1: Draw your outline. I recomend using black.

Step 2: Draw platelets of your primary color getting drawer and lighter on the side and color the object with your primary color. After, press the paint bucket and press shift+click on the black with your darkest color. The yellow in the picture is going to be our light source.

Step 3: Take your second darkest color and put it on the side farthest away from the light source, then take the lightest color and put it closest to the light source. If you want, you could be finished right now.

Step 4: How to dither: Take your second lightest color and put it near your lightest color in a checkerboard type pattern. Do the same for the Third darkest color.

Step 5: How to shade: Take your second lighest color and put it next to your lightest color do the same for the third darkest.

you can't expect people to learn on a circle haha- make it into a head or something

The concept will be the same (or similar) if we do the same process with a head I think.
The guide is very basic, but it is good anyways.

Xialza has greatly improved. For the amount of staff they have it is simply amazing what they have done. Also putting done playercount bars in really noobish, it's just trying to make yourself look like a dev. I've seen your Graal Reborn server, you're hopeless.

Nice tut, as snk said, it could be bigger. Then the finiahed product would look nicer. But nice :)

You should've watch the farming demo I did, we also had a hotel system, uhhh some dungeons, and I persuaded kondie to let me clean the hud up a bit...

But... I thought you were a nice person :(

Anyway... Xialza is now dead because kondie decided he could do better so he deleted everything, then decided he would be lazy -_- so I can't do any work... It will eventually come back with custom player sprites and such however.

I can reveal however that a new classic styled server filled with some quality content that has been rewrote over and over until the manager was happy.
Just today I had to rewrite a flood fill effect for water 5 ways since we weren't sure which looked the best, ended up going for a cheap radial effect -_-

Still! Keep an eye on reborn because things are looking promising, I might make a thread when the servers out if anyone is interested :)
