Customizable Christmas Trees
 

This is something I've wanted to see implemented since the first Christmas: A christmas tree made by Dusty that we can buy ornaments for and decorate the tree to however we feel fit. EG - I would buy the naked tree, then buy more ornaments for it to place on the tree as I see fit.


(And Dusty doesnt HAVE to make it lol - but lets face it: It's best if he did because he is GFX god)

You should make a hunting job to find ornaments not buy them that makes it more fun.

Sure, you could sell the trees and people would buy them. Or, you could create a new job involving:

-New Tool (Axe)
-Forest Level
-Lumberjack NPC

The lumberjack would give you an axe to cut down trees for him with. After a certain amount of trees cut down he will give you a tree for your house. After the tree reward you would cut down trees for gralats. Oh Tyler cutting down trees is boring, couldn't there be something to make it more interesting? Yes, how does pissing off wild animals living in the trees sound? Certain trees have wild life such as squirrels living in them and if you cut that tree you will be attacked by them and lose .5 health and can't cut down that tree.

Sounds like a cool idea, but I can only see it using ugly pine trees with terrible perspective.

Next months vip will be a tree mount. With 4 recolors of the same exact mount, or possibly make the mount a morph, in the vip only room.

They will makea star morph where you need to have the tree morph to get which you need vip to get into the rooms for them

It would be nice, if you could design your own ornament(ex: like a 10x10pixel size). Then, send it to uploads and get it uploaded for a certain price. And, then send it to your friends as gifts so they can put it up on their christmas tree as decoration 0:. I would like to see the same thing with Christmas lights too 0:. In my opinion, a Christmas tree isn't...a Christmas tree without flashing Christmas lights.

EDiT: I like Tyler & Veri'Applez ideas a lot xD. I hope they add more ideas this year, than just the Christmas presents :).

I do think however, there should be a way to get "special/rare" orniments, that would be the icing. But the cake would be the ability to buy some orniments, or maybe go to Santa in Snowtown, and he might give you a "rare" one,

Some should be buyable, and some should be "rare" or a Santa give away.

Maybe like an Easter egg hunt sort of thing for different ornaments. Or possibly when you cut down a tree, a special ornament might fall out and you can put it on your tree, just ideas.

It actually is. It should be a good motivator to prove them wrong and show that the staff are capable of making a great update like this.

It's not. Sorry, but listening to people gripe and bitch about how lazy I am doesn't make me want to prove them wrong. It makes me think that they'll never be pleased and that I'm wasting my time.

This is just the forums people speaking. I'm sure a lot of people who don't post on here and play the game would really appreciate a nice update. I haven't been too fond of the recent updates, but that doesn't mean they can't make good updates. We all saw the awesome MoD town update. Yeah, there is a lack of appreciation on the forums, but that goes for a lot of games as well. A lot of forums sites have criticizing people and negativity which is why I hate using them. I don't want to see that thing happen where a few people ruin it for everyone.

I'm not saying that the whiners ruin it for everyone, and that they're the only voices heard... but negative people tend to be the most vocal. Also, my point is that people shouldn't expect to be so negatively critical and expect positive results because they think "they're motivating them to do better by proving them wrong."

shame is personally a great motivator for me... allthough one i dont really like, but thats kind of the point of a motivator, making someone do something they previously didnt want to..

instead of fighting over what makes an individual motivated. lets pitch some ideas/give feedback

You shouldn't mistake a discussion as a fight.

It really stinks how the most vocal group is usually the complainers, as 95% of the people don't feel like that.

There's already that guy choping logs in the bottom left of MoD town, he could be used to give you directions to the "forest level" so that it's not just a random door that appeared out of nowhere.

There is already an axe tool and animation as demonstrated by the man described above, so it would really require anymore coding for the tool itself.

This is actually one of my favorite threads! Such a good idea.

I really do like the idea, but when you cut the tree, what should you do? Spam the axe button or something?
