What do you guys think of the new and improved RuneScape combat update? You now have skills that you can do. It's a lot better than just clicking and waiting. It's rather fun. Check it out!

What's the fun in using bots?

My friends that still play say the combat update is horrible. I would play but it forced them to quit soooo.

runescape was dead long ago.

Runescape sucks too bad i cant trade my robin hood and santa for rares on graal.

I stopped that game years ago, it just got worse and worse.

I liked Runescape back when the graphics were 'crappy'. 06 was the best year on RS for me.

Amyways i actually like the combat update, its cool to me. Rnescape was dumb before tbh, i got bored of it easily. But now,theres stances to combat, theres sheathed weapons, the combat looks appealing and the finishing skills are awesome, but I STILL CANT BEAT THE VARROCK DEMON #raginallnitelong

Yes. They nerfed silverlight SO MUCH i cant land hits on either delrith or the third monk.

what armor are you using?

Dude. Steel chainbody and platelegs, racing boots, combat gloves and leather cowl. I equipped myself with a black scimitar and silverlight. After a half hour, which tolled my fingers ALOT, i beat the thing, then forgot the incantation and had to do it all over again.

just get a str pot and some lobs/swordies and youll be fine

Okie. Also did they change the defense levels? Last time i got on (august or so)
I could wear mithril armor. Now i cant :/

Ah. Dude its sick i sparta kicked someone with my shieldbow, which is really cool, cause idve never thought of a bow with a ruot shield- type shield on it.

I remember having 43M and not knowing what to do with it.

I don't understand anything about this new update...
I remember that I was combat level 136 before the update, but now I'm suddenly cb level 200 wtf.

What happened is your level and combat ability is increased with skills, since they can buff our damage whenever you need it, as well as members having regeneration abilities. So now a little but more skill is implemented into the spectrum.

Yep. Plus the weapons got retextured nicely, cooking now has a progress and xp gain meter, and all the towns have been retextured besides lumbridge i believe.

The combat update is the best thing that happened to Runescape. Instead of blatantly watching your character battle people, You can now use abilities which require actual timing to get the most out of them. The best time to use is right after a regular attack.

I also love how they encourage magic and ranging more. In f2p, there is a Mage armor set that is as protective as rune.

All in all runescape's combat update made it more like a mmorph (WoW,LoL etc.)

There is a ability available for f2p players with 45 def called rejuvenation which virtually destroyed the need for inventories full of food.

They've always encouraged mage and range, especially in members, you NEED range to kill most bosses.

I'm combat level 75, now I think. Hopefully I'll be at 100 soon. Also just got my first few skills up to 40. And I did the stray in a manger quest and sold some presents. Ended up getting 600K. My brother did the quest and got all the presents and sold the hat for 22Mil.

im like lvl 126 (previously 75)..tf i tried reading the "combat evolution guide" but still cant figure how levelling works..
