so how far will iZone be implented to iEra? thats what the promise has been from stefan, yet no one knows anything about it. even snk doesnt know anything about that, just that it will be somehow connected to iEra.

It won't be connected to iEra past a gang/squad DB share, and even that is undecided.

And as bboy said, the gang/squad database is shared ATM. Meaning I can ally iEra gangs with my squad on iZone. But I don't really like it. I don't see a point to it so I'm trying to convince stefan otherwise.

I wouldn't mind a way to link iEra accs with Zone acc's but leave weapons specific to each server behind. I probably won't get zone if I have to completely restart and begin paying for money I already have on iEra along with reset stats.

I'd like to make lapse on zone. Not just have it era players. Also its odd seeing "gang message" while on zone and "squad message" on era. You can just pm people on other servers. I don't get connecting them further or the point.

The only thing it gives is an advantage. If people don't want to use it, the logical thing is to not use it. Don't remove it if some people want to use it for an advantage. :)

I think it's cool how they are connected. I'll be able to communicate with several people on zone easily, and there won't be any sK, EBIZOU BASE, etc names on Zone after 10 minutes of release. (It was kinda weird when era was released and people made gangs called PULSE, Project Soul, and Venus Gospel)

Have you guys set any reward system for gang basing and all yet?

And will there be knives with physical metal or are you guys gonna lean more towards star wars melees as well like swords with plasma in the blade (ill try to post a pic to clarify what i mean) and the more elite, or the more experienced players get an actual lightsaber- like weapon? Ill post pictures of what i mean a bit after posting this.

The fake classic gangs died out though. I just think it would be weird and annoying to be reading about stuff that is happening on era while on zone and vice versa. Especially with me being a staff member, I don't really want to hear spam about events on era when I'm trying to do something on zone if that makes sense.
Also, it makes no sense to themes. Why would you be able to talk to people in the 1920's while in the future? Why cant we talk to classic people in the same manner? It just bugs me when things don't make sense. As well as the fact it's not really needed. Just my personal views I guess. Zone is zone. Not era+zone. Wish it would be that way.

As far as things to do with your squad we have missions that squads do together. I am not sure if there will be a basing type of thing. There never was on PC. Of course with zone being the galaxy, we can always "discover" a new planet that allows this. A planet full of basing squads or whatnot. We plan on adding A LOT, after release. We have many ideas staked up and ready to start once our release goes smoothly.

As for items/weapons. It's the future. We aren't limited :)

As a suggestion, gang bases could be space stations and normal houses a ships. An obvious idea but id like to stress its awesomeness.

Den i want early access :P im a rookie LAT, but im pretty good with outside levels and such, so i guess i can apply, gotta find the link. Just not good at creating buildings or inside stuff, im not sure why but i can never get the outside structure and the windows and door to look right.

Agreed. Keep it standalone like iEra and iClassic. If he wants iServers to interact with each other more there are far better options available to do so than this.

Bboy mentioned this and I see it as a great compromise to interactive servers through gangs guilds and squads and that would be global guilds. For people who don't play pc, these are guilds that no matter what server you're on you have that tag and can talk to others also on that global tag (I think)

However with that I wouldn't want to see too many of them. They should be rare and nothing game changing so idk how it could be added.

I just don't like connecting servers unless it makes sense or there is a reason behind it other than social when you can easily pm people or just go to the other server if that's a big deal.

I guess I may be alone in supporting trans-server allies, but I still like it. When I left classic for era, I left several people behind because I use the guild chat system much more than pming. It would be interesting if all the iPhone servers could have "outside allies" which don't affect the ally count for allies within each server, but could be used just for chat. I guess it could be weird when talking about server specifics, but it doesn't have to be utilized by every guild/gang/squad.
On another note, you (@Jester) wanted to remake your gang Lapse into a squad. What if other people want to do the same with their guild/gang but don't have the time to get zone upon its release and the name is taken? Using the same database, people could rename their previous guild/gang then afterwards make their squad. I guess it wouldn't affect most players, but some popular groups might want to stick together under the same name and move to other servers.

Possibly each server would nominate x amount of Guilds/Gangs/Squads where the Manager of each server (Xor, Snk, Jwd) would choose.

Just a lil' suggestion. But I think Stefan is really keen on implementing a way on linking iServers as I've heard him speak of it before. Hopefully if he does, he'll find a better way than the current proposed way.

Ive actually had someone take the Lapse name while I was doing some gang experiments on era with ice shadows and lapse lol. They did it just to annoy me too. I think someone had also taken ice shadows name when i had it named crimson shadows or something. Eventually they got spammed a lot for being unoriginal and a jester copy. Which is what happened when era first came out and fake classic guilds came on. I don't think it will be a big deal. Also by reserving guild names, that also includes all the guilds people have that they do absolutely nothing with. Maybe someone wants to take that name somewhere. It's a new server. A new start. If the name bothers you THAT much, stay on the server where it means something I guess.

When I was fired snk decided to be immature and change the gang name to PF fayuls. Someone took the gang name while it wasn't there for that short while. I was mad.

Ive had that happen too. except ive taken ice shadows name a couple times, lol. Also I still want in lapse when this games out, we gotta get the gang back togetha :D also Im gonna get an armor body if you guys make one cheap enough along with my original head.

Please tell me iZone wont require regular commitment to play a lot like iEra does. If you quit iEra for a month you find out all your weapons are rusty and you need to mine a lot as well as grind a bunch of money just to get back on your footing. You also need to pay $1000 a week for unlimited revive and ammo. The 2 hour daily bonus did help a bit, but its kind of annoying when you log on just to see if there's anything new, then later log on and your daily bonus is gone.

I really hope iZone doesn't require commitment like iEra does, its the only reason I prefer Classic over era(well that and because all my friends play Classic and iEra requires insane grinding or real money to compete).
