Android>iPhone

Android wins every time.

DragonRider 12-21-2012 11:45 PM

Too bad the Android doesn't have as much apps as an iPhone, or else I would've have bought it.

Developers target whichever means more potential customers. The people who buy iPhones because they have more apps are the same people who cause it to have more apps than Android.

Android is bad,it has bad apps imo and It has way too many devices.

I wouldn't say android is bad (and for the record I don't own any android devices). Google is definitely innovating, much more than apple these days. Have you tried Google Now? The execution of that service is awesome. Apps are similar in both markets, I will say that iOS seems to have more in the way of games though.

Yeah, it kinda blows. Still waiting for Graal for the iOS among other things. But yeah, I LOVE the Samsung S3, so ****ing sleek, the camera is so ****ing awesome, and it's much easier to actually do **** on it compared to the iPhone.

Android is getting better every day. it already owns more than half market outside US.. the main reason why iPhone is still topping or near to android is because it is subsidized ..

Android caught with Apple in amount of apps

Ozzy_Magus 12-28-2012 08:55 AM

My sister has a 4s, I have a galaxy s3, I can tell you that I enjoy my phone more then she does.
You can do so much **** on an android device.
Apple just sucks.

Robert. 12-28-2012 11:00 AM

I don't want to lie. I have the latest Galaxy and the latest iPhone. I love the iPhone way more. It's easier to comtroll, has more apps, is faster and fits in my pocket.
I don't use my Galaxy anymore. When you have both you know why. There are many reasons.

Same.
I mean, my reaction would be (like previously said, I have a GS3, my sis has a 4s) "WTF IS THIS ****"
The samsung galaxy series was always better then the iPhones in every way.
Seriously guys, get an android, test it. You'll never go back to apple.
They're more powerfull, have a better design, offer MUCH MORE features (apps, mirrorscreening ( without having to buy an AppleTv shiz or whatever)...
Androids offers much more than iDevices.
Apple could have been great, but their devices are not worth their price.
800$ for a phone, what a joke.

The Doctor 12-28-2012 01:42 PM

My Galaxy S3 is just fabulous. I'm typing on it using Swipe on it. That's pretty cool.

Yeah that's amazing. "swype" right?
Will support other languages too, hopefully.
Not to mention how easy the apk's are to download on an android.
Lol 4shared=all apps for free.

Johnaudi 12-29-2012 07:35 AM

Android is linked to many phones, Google offers nice programs (Google Play, Translator etc) which gets built in there and lets you use it universally.
But I usually consider android as a 'cheap hand' since it can still catch a virus, or be ran on your PC, plus some devices doesn't have a multitouch function in their base.
Unlike the iPhone, mostly known as the first touch phone, has its own OS, own GUI (Apple was the first to invent GUI's btw), on some relative stuff.
IMO, most phones in the market are usually a small copy of an iPhone, like Google made something similar to Siri, Android Tablet are originally from an iPad (the idea and the system), Multitasking have been added to the iPhone before other devices, there was no android market before the Apple Store on iPhone 2G but they used to install apk's directly. I bet you guys 20$ that Android devices are going to have a Cloud app (iCloud).

iHot 12-29-2012 05:19 PM

Installous is good, I have it and all. But it takes a **** load of time to download and you need to jailbreak (voiding your warrenty). Where as on android that doesn't happen.

MattKan 12-29-2012 05:32 PM

i like my iphone :)

GotenGraal 12-29-2012 08:40 PM

I have the Nexus 7 and love the thing. I also have an iPod touch 5 and love it too lol. But compare the Nexus 7 to it's competitor, the iPad Mini it destroys it in every aspect. The N7 has a faster processor, more ram, better display, anything you can do on the iPad Mini jailbroken you can do on the N7 without any hacking process lol... Not to mention the N7 is $250 for a 32gb model as the iPad Mini is $329 for a 16gb model... Pay more for less if you go with apple.

Not all android apps work with all androids. Only less than quarter.

Apple was definitely did not invent GUI's, they stole it from Xerox. Apple never created Siri, they bought it off another company. All of this is true if you actually research it. Apple did not invent the tablet either.
iOS does not have true multitasking like Android, all it does is save the state of the app. Why do you think when you forget to remove apps from the multitasking bar the old apps will just restart? Not true multitasking.

Installous is also really slow and unreliable.

You're belief that Apple invented everything and everyone is a copycat is terribly misconstrued.

Ventus277 12-29-2012 10:23 PM

Android has let me down, iPhone has not.

Emera 12-30-2012 12:20 AM

Another upside is that it's easier for app developers to get access to development tools for android apps, because they're available on more than just one platform :P You have to buy a mac to develop for iDevices, and the pricey fee makes it even harder to get hold of the tools you need.

Reflux 12-30-2012 01:09 AM

I love how Siri gets all its information from google.

The iPhone didn't get multitasking first lol and like Rexx said it has half ass multitasking.

Ozzy_Magus 12-30-2012 08:08 PM

@johnaudi

"Apk's" are easy, fast to install on your android device.
And the device does not need to be rooted(JB).
Unlike the ipod/iphone/ipad which has to be JB to get installous, and yeah, it takes alot of time to down'd an app such as : NFS:Most wanted (example).

@crono
Androids offer (that apple doesn't)
-THE PRICE : you can get a hella good phone for 200$ (NEW).They are accesible to everyone out there, apple devices cost ********.
-You can easly acces the data,etc...if your android device is connected to your pc (Unlike apple's devices which do not let you access the internal data etc...(you need to use iFunbox (pc) to acces them)))
-apk's (you can get everything for free, whitout needing to JB)
-the market has much more free stuff (Ex: all angry bird games are free)
-the design, there's an android for everyone out there (style etc..)
IMPO: the design of the iDevices suck. Really.
-The widgets, system is 10000000000x better than iOs.
Just compare the S3 and the iPH5, the s3 wins in everything.
But yeah... The fight of apple vs android will last forever, you need to have both, not be an idiot to understand that android is much better than iOs.
Already the choice, design, rapidity of the new devices beat iOs.
And I'm not saying apple's iDevices are bad, but definitely NOT f****** worth their price.
For me its all about apple's prices, I wouldn't fight or say anything if they'd lower their price, cause their devices don't do ****.

Downloading isn't really from the device you're using, practically from the Internet speed and 20% comes from the device's CPU (call them core)
+ this is why androids have low priority in protection, you can install anything with in it's default count (no root) so there is no use of buying apps anymore, means Android Market can end up dead soon enough.

- For me, money ain't an option, so idgaf what I buy.

The Doctor 12-31-2012 04:41 PM

Android has anti-virus software unlike iOS. You can also choose not to download the bad software. By default it's disabled anyway.

Reflux 12-31-2012 07:38 PM

This just proves you're talking out you're ass. Android Market has been gone for a while now, everything is Google Play. In addition to buying apps, music, and movies you can also download live wallpapers, widgets, and tweaks and other stuff there too. Android has a higher marketshare in the world than iPhone so I don't think it's going anywhere any time soon.

Mofujohn 01-01-2013 04:51 AM

I love my new iPhone 5. I've watched lots of videos of GS3 vs iPhone 5, but in the end I decided iPhone 5, just my personal preference. I love iOS.

iOS doesn't need any anti-virus, it uses a certificate which will disable the usage of uncommon things.

I personally prefer the Nexus 4 better because the UI isn't washed out by Samsung's version of jelly bean. Either way they're both better than iPhone imo.

So what? People find exploits anyway. Now think of iOS' s locked down OS. You can't customize a thing excpet the user background unless you Jailbreak.

Android = User Friendly

Plus, I've never seven an android Virus because I'm not stupid enough to download one.

SUCH COMPARE VIDEOS ARE BULL****!

You know why? The most never chooses new Handys. So they have some which are already used... So of corse one handy is slower than the other.
Also you can find like 100 videos in which the Android wins and 100 in which the iPhone wins.
And it's up to the person who makes the video. If you are pro Android you of corse let the Android win.
If you are pro iPhone you let the iPhone win. You can't use these videos to compare which handy you should buy.
Also saying Andrioid>iPhone is bull****. Everyone has an own view. Some prefer the Android, some prefer the iPhone.
But you can't say that it's a fact that the Android is better, because for other people the iPhone is better.
Depends on yourself.

So stop these stupid Android vs iPhone stuff. It only causes fights.
