Testbed Server Re-Opened!
 

Hi guys,

The Testbed Server on PC Graal has been re-opened, allowing anyone with a Classic or greater subscription to join and learn to develop!

I hope to flesh out some guidelines and policies as well as resources and helpers/instructors to help you achieve your development goals!

I can certainly help out when I am around the area but I often am busy :(

yea, you use your P.C BUT (big but) you will need a Gold or Classic Subcripion to use Testbed's RC to script.. (well you could still learn to script but you wont really be able to test it)

I don't want to buy the gold subcripion for some reason
i still have the normal...

yes this sounds good I know very little about scripting but I would like to learn how to.

I was so happy when testbed reopened ;) well noe my gold is over I'm not sure yet if I'll buy immediately a new one or wait a bit.

You should clarify that Testbed is strictly for learning to script, not for any type of development :P

Testbed is supposed to be just to learn GS2 (Graal Script 2 = Scripting in Graals Script language). Sure you can upload images/levels/GANIs/.... if you need them for your scripts to test out, but it´s based on scripting. If you want to test levels, test them offline. If you want to test your graphics, zoom out in your paint program or test them in offline editor. If you want to test your GANIs, than test them in Graal Shop or also offline.

GS2 is the online scripting from Graal so you can´t test them offline.

wait, are we allowed to make 1 simple level to idle in/test scripts? (making sure i have a full understanding)

If twinny didn´t update it yet than up to 30 levels. Thats not much but fine

I don't want entire server gmaps developed on here. It's purely for learning. You can upload a few levels to do the testing/learning but I'll be cracking down on people who upload stolen content (sick of Era levels and 50 terrible gun scripts with 2 changed variables each) and generally just waste others time.

There's no real need to use Testbed purely for level work since offline editor can handle that fine.
