I want to jailbreak my iPod 5g,because I saw someone that had a gameboy emulator on their own iPod. I also heard its much better than one that isn't jail broken. I never jail broken a idevice so I got some questions for those of you out there who have. Does it make your idevice slower and what is the bad things about doing it? How do you jailbreak your idevice? And what was your reason for you doing it?

Ok, just jailbroke mine.

3). Bad things? The sources are illegal, but nobody ever gets in troubld.

4). I jailbroke mine to play pokemon and make graal tutorials with Display Recorder.

Yes, just did my ipod 4th gen. If you download it and plug it in, it will tell you if it works.

Say the speed is 1 to 5 and 5 is normal before jailbreak. It is a 4.7

Haha, I beat pokemon red and am trying to beat Emerald. I haven't started making official videos yet, but I have tested display recorder and it works really well. :)

It is untethered.

A tethered jailbreak means you cannot boot (turn on the ipod) without connecting it to a computer. Untethered means the ipod jailbreak is independent of computer, and it can boot all by its lonesome self.

Free apps? You can use AppCake+ or installious. They make paid apps free, which is illegal but you can't really get in trouble for it.

It worked fine for me, you can always restore if you don't like it, but I love it.

To get a ROM to work, you need to get iFile and go to var/mobile/roms then find your file and add .gba to the end of it. Then it will work in the gsPhone

You don't need to root your Android to be able to emulate DS and GBA.
1:0 for Android.

I'll have to try this AppCake, everyone says it's a reasonable replacement.

It doesn't make it any slower actually. The sources/repos and the packages you install from within them are what make it slower. All the jailbreak initially add is the ability to download from the Cydia web source, which allows you to expand upon the limits of the jailbreak itself.

you need ifile to change the rom file if it doesnt work, watch videos on youtube they halp alot
