Egg "Wiki"

Welcome to the Egg "Wiki"!

Yeah, there are activity-specific eggs.

Now that we know this, we can put a little "wiki" (aka this thread) together on eggs and how they are obtained. (I'll regularly check and update this thread based on posts throughout the week.)

Note: [confirmed] signifies that it is confirmed by an administrator of Classic. [unconfirmed] signifies that there is some reason to believe it, but no real and fully reliable confirmation. No brackets signify that a player has stated the information and therefore it is probably true, but it has no confirmation from staff.

How you can help:
  • If you've acquired 100% of your eggs a specific way (e.g. shoveling or bush digging), post a list of the eggs and how you got them so that we can group those by type.
  • If you've acquired 100% of your eggs two specific ways (besides trading), you can still post a list. Just be sure to note that you got them doing two different activities.
  • In the future when you get eggs, be sure to note which #'s you got and how you got them so you can contribute here :).
  • If you have any theories or ideas about how the spawning of eggs actually work, please share so that we can have as complete of a guide as possible.
  • If this thread lacks a color description for any of the eggs, you can post a description here.
  • If you know specifically where you obtained an egg (by any means), post where you found it along with the #.

Ways to get eggs:
  • Shoveling Dirt
  • Cutting Bushes [confirmed] [2]
  • Cutting Swamp Grass [confirmed]
  • Killing Baddies
    • Pyrats
    • Slimes [confirmed]
    • All baddies that drop gralats [confirmed]
    • Other baddies [unconfirmed]
  • Random spawning in overworld
  • Random spawning in overworld houses (not player or guildhouses)

Theories:
  • Some eggs are grouped by activity [confirmed]
  • Some / all eggs are grouped by activity [unconfirmed]
  • Eggs that are grouped by activity are exclusive to a single / multiple activit(ies) [unconfirmed]
  • Eggs that are exclusive to baddies are nonexclusive to specific baddies [confirmed by Rufus in PM]
  • Eggs that spawn are exclusive to a town or location [confirmed by Rufus in PM]
  • Some eggs that are found in bushes, grass or baddies in one town can be found in all towns / specific towns [unconfirmed]

Prizes:
  • Trophies for the first dozen players to obtain all eggs...
    1. Ghost (R2L) (2013 Champion)
    2. playerVlad (US)
    3. Shadow (New Age Legacy)
    4. ¶ Santa Claus (Vintage)
    5. NiTe (US)
    6. Thallen ·Enguard· (Alumni)

    9. Yui (US)
    10. +Col+ Nightangel (Characters New York)
    11. ???
    12. ???
  • Prize once all eggs are obtained (unknown)

Eggs dropped by pyrats act like the eye patches. You can hardly ever pick them up. I wouldn't recommend egg hunting there.

Santa Claus 03-24-2013 01:50 AM

Andy 03-24-2013 01:53 AM

I got 2 from digging

fp4 03-24-2013 01:56 AM

It's cool seeing the event reverse engineered, not as cool as the prize for this event though. I highly recommend you partner up with other players to help gather eggs faster.

Cat612 03-24-2013 01:58 AM

#48,50,3,5 are available by digging.

Buneary 03-24-2013 02:04 AM

Are you sure they have their own means of getting it or they all have the same set of actions to get them all?
Also I updated my first post to keep spam down.

We do know that eggs are grouped by certain activities. We don't, however, know if eggs are scripted to work with multiple activities or just single one. For the purposes of this thread, no assumptions will be made. See the "theories" section for more info.

Winter 03-24-2013 02:10 AM

#48 is rainbow, #8, 9, and 10 i got from digging, which throws off Santa Claus' theory. :P

Thanks to you, too.

Don't know. Some people may appreciate it when searching for eggs. Hopefully somebody can just post a picture once they have all 50. The most important thing is where eggs are found.

Andy 03-24-2013 03:17 AM

I found 50 in front of Little Red Barn.

Definitely a possibility, but the admins may have mixed it up so we'll have to see.

Andy 03-24-2013 04:07 AM

Found 49 on the tree path to York Town by shoveling

Ryan 03-24-2013 04:16 AM

I almost have 1-10 and i got them all from bushes and grass

Sicx 03-24-2013 04:37 AM

11 I got from above the table to the left of the info kiosk in graal city.

I do not know the specifics, but I have heard from numerous people that eggs do spawn indoors to at least some degree.

Andy 03-24-2013 06:00 AM

I think 11-20 are all spawned ones and 30-40 are baddie ones and the rest are all dig/bush/grass. (Came up with this theory with NCJ).

Found 18 in front of Master Li's.

Edit: Didn't see Santa's post.

Honestly your theory makes complete sense. I'm just worried that they may have thrown a curve-ball when making this and that (for a random example, 33) might not actually be from baddies... and they're trying to trick us!

But we'll have to wait and see. I'll keep hunting!

Eldon 03-24-2013 06:45 AM

This is the list:
1-10 grass,
11-19 Find
20-29 bush
30-39 baddy
40-50 dig

Jackrack 03-24-2013 06:58 AM

Found 27 in the Fan, cutting short grass. Seems to be that curve ball :P

Same. Quite a few other people have noticed this as well. And to be on topic, I think there is some randomness to eggs, as I found as low as #2 and as high #46 from just digging.

haruka 03-24-2013 08:54 AM

Was Ghost (R2L) the first to complete the egg hunt?

Thallen 03-24-2013 08:54 AM

Ghost was just the first to complete all 50.
