Career Choices
 

So I'm wondering what's everyone career pathway choice. Also why you've chosen it :) ( you can name various ones if you haven't made up your mind yet )

Edit: that is no longer the case for me.

Paediatrician, hopefully specialising in surgery.
The grades and work experience I need for it is killing me at the minute...

I chose it because it's a varied job with no two days being the same, plus the pay is really great and nothing would make me happier than to improve peoples' lives, especially children who really deserve to experience life in its fullest.

I have no idea what I want to be or what my talent is. I wanted to go into with computers because I love working with them. I'm not really sure. I wish I knew my dream career.

Something along Graphic Design, not 100% sure yet. Art has always been a part of my life and i've always been a creative guy, and there isn't as many options open to you if you have an Art Degree, so Graphics Design was the next best thing. I've also always liked it when my work is being used for something, whether it's a piece of art hanging up at school or even just a hat in a shop in Graal.

Im still not quite sure what kind of design I want to do though, product design, interior/exterior etc. :c

Almost definitely going to be in the computer or technology cluster, whether it be graphic arts/design or information technology.

Radiologist. I'd be the guy you'd see hiding behind a giant lead wall whenever you break your bones so I can do the X-Rays.

Pharmacy

Either an artist or graphic designer.

I am going to college for Computer Science next year. I am not exactly sure what my plans are beyond that but I think I might go into programming or IT Security.

Either a music producer or a psychologist. I want to be a music producer because if you haven't already noticed, I enjoy making music and it'd be a nice oppurtunity for money if I do my job well. On the other hand, I want to be a psychologist because I'm fascinated by the minds of people and how they work, and I'd like to help them with mental issues or anything really.

I've chosen to go to college for music production, but psychology still really interests me.

i flipped a coin and got Computer Engineering. i highly recommend it. lot's of fun stuff to learn, and tons of money after you graduate.

Anyway. Next year ill be in college majoring in Finance. I want to go into banking, I have no interest in the stock market really. When i get a job the dress code better not be strict :l :U...

Why not a minor in Music School and a bachelor in psychology or vice versa?

Going into Business and then to real estate hopefully.

I think it's Paediatrics is British English and Pediatrics in American English just like encyclopaedia and encyclopedia.

I'm already doing my BBA. :P

Video game design. My dream, for a long time, ever since I was 12 playing World of Warcraft, is to create innovative and visually beautiful indie games with a group of exceptionally talented and inspired people. I choose indie games because I feel like I could have more flexibility creatively vs. working for a big video game company. My ultimate dream of dreams is to either meet people that have unique coding talent in college and start up our own indie game company, OR climb up an indie gaming company as one of the lead graphic staff as well as have the power to be one of the idea makers.

I'm not sure if many colleges have the courses to do that. I'm taking a psychology class next year, so once I spend a while in there, I will decide once and for all.

Psychology is useless without a Masters.
And even after that it's already a highly competitive field.


I thought about Psychology to be a counselor or social worker and it's simply not worth it and even if you can find a job the pay is hardly worth it.

I'm going into a career of game development. I've always been good at art, but when I learned to program and made my first program, I knew it was what I wanted to do. I'm going to a college called Shawnee State University for Game and Simulation Programming this fall.
