Newbie questions :/
 

Hey, just started playing iEra, love it so far, spend 15 hours so far.
But I still need some answers to these questions:
1. Where is the black market/food mart to sell the random stuff I have? (eyes, brain, bones)
2. How do you get rares? The only way getting items for me, is to buy them?
3. I got 60 eggs, and getting more and more, but I don't know what to buy? (already bought a melee) Should I sell the eggs for gralats or shells, or buy something in the shop?

but yeah near the start park (where you spawn?main hangout) if you go east from there you should come across a mall, at the back of the malll is a fridge with a little guy in it, grab him and you can sell them.

you get rares in auctions or trades, but i reccomend auctions.


use your eggs to buy something in the shop! you can never know who to trust especially since you're new to the game people may take advantage of you !hhaha, but thats it, anything else you need just ask :)

1. It's to the right of start. Once you go in the food market just hug/grab the wall on the top by goons npc.

2. Not really sure what your idea of "rares" is, im guessing auctioned items? You could trade with people ,etc. But I don't suggest this, as you will probably end up getting scammed.


3.Hm, good question. I spent my spare eggs on hats. There are some pretty decent hats in the shop.

I went to auction house 1 time, but the prices were like 70k, and I only have 2.6k so I have no idea, how I can buy them :S.

2. You can buy some, trade, or win auctions. Personally, I prefer to do none of these seeing as though rares do not do anything and how abundant scamming is
3. I suggest fast eggs. I bought 360 of them and I love moving crazy fast with them

But the problem is still, I can't win any auctions? Sooo expensive.

Don't buy a car. It'll probably just be another VIP item like it has been over 3 times. And yeah. I would recommend saving up for a gun so you can PK and Spar. Hit me up in game if you're struggling with anything. Oh, and since you're new , if someone asks you to trade and wants you to go first, 99% it'll be a scam, so don't drop first no matter what lol.

I'm thinking about buying the AK-74 for 2.5k. Btw, is VIP worth the money?

It's only good if you player kill and spar since it gives you unlimited revive for the month and unlimited ammo as well now I think because I've had unlimited ammo for at least 3 months now without purchasing it. And... don't get the AK lol. It's good for a new player, but I would advise the M3 as it is a very powerful shotgun, or the steam punk or Glock for a new player like you. And don't drop first again lol, and PM me in game, I like helping out new players. Ill rec you to my gang and teach you stuff ;). You seem like a cool guy lol. :D

Don't worry about auctions, I have over 4300 hours in game and have never won an auction. It's basically a something to show how much money your parents make and show that it was wasted on an in game item.


As for weapons I'd recommend for you, I would say start of with a glock(12000 gralats), this can be bought at weapons upgrade shop located just beneath mercy west hospital. After that, try building up to get either a sten(65000 gralats), or M4(55000 gralats) maybe, depending on time and what you like to do. Those are more useful for sparring, the sten and M4, but are also good for pking as well.

As for melee items, daggers are usually most well suited for pking or basing, other items would be event items but I do not have any info on your device or how good you are at events. But, if you are good, melees I'd recommend would be the katana(35 event coins), a hunter or kiwi(20 event coins), the stun gun(25 event coins) is alright in my opinion, but I personally don't like it for my own reasons.

Yes, healing cocaine is very common on 9+ games nowadays isn't it...

Garrett: Thanks for the advices! Already have a melee. The bunny one, from the holiday shop, that looks like a bigass axe, and it does 8 dmg I think.. Might be 7. But 12000 gralats is just damn much. Should I just keep shelling and shelling, until I can buy it?

No, don't dig unless someone else is giving you shovels to use. Instead, pick trash and mushrooms, it saves you money and you will notice an increase on gralats by doing this. The mushrooms knife can be found in south ridge just above guerre.

Hi, I recommend getting the M3 as a starting gun. I have a BAR and still use the M3 for pk purposes. Next, I would recommend getting the Glock if you want to take the sparring route, but for pking, I would get the M16 (15k) or the Tachi Scorpion (30k). The M16 has a very fast fire rate, a fast reload, deals 7 damage, but has some freeze (quite a bit). I don't own the Tachi Scorpion, but my brother does. It is pretty similar to the M16, I believe it does the same damage and has less freeze. Btw, when your guns start getting out of shape, they lose their damage. Example: The M16 does 8 damage in perfect shape, 7 in good, 6 in damaged, and 5 in rusty. Most guns are upgraded in the shop you buy them in and are upgraded by getting minerals and paying a small fee.

The Tachi Scorpion is also not too bad in spar.

Glock 18 all da way. Started using it and it works like a dream. Talon posted a thread bout guns and their prices. Have a look at that. I found it very helpful.

Oh and also. DON'T TRADE. ALMOST GUARANTEED SCAM. I'd show you the odds but math was never my strongest subject :P

If you're good with low rate of fire weapons, you can try out the Neo Rifle. Though it's not an easy weapon to use for beginners, it has low freeze rate and very high damage. This is like your agile sniper weapon. Does 10 damage when upgraded. It has a good fire rate but a clip size of 2. Forcing you to shoot in bursts. A truly deadly weapon in the hands of a skilled Neo Rifle user. 10 damage + low freeze rate is a deadly combination. Neo Rifle proves to be one of the lowest freeze guns in the 10 damage category. See if Neo Rifle is right for you.

Neo Rifle stats
+10 damage
+low freeze rate (lowest in the 10 damage gun category)
+fast fire rate
+cheap price $5400 (This allows early access so you can practice it)
-reload freeze is somewhat above average
-- clip size of 2. Reloading will be frequent if you try to spam bullets.
- no spread (this isn't always a negative stat for some players)

What is recommended when using Neo Rifle is making your 2 shots count. Spamming with it aimlessly will not be effective.

Of course though, Glock is an easy to use weapon for a moderately early access weapon. While it's 12k, the stats are quite balanced. If you prefer standard balanced weapons, choose Glock. Neo Rifle is a hidden weapon. It is found underneath the bridge that leads to South ridge.

The Glock is very subtle. Nothing too special about it. That's why I like it. Fancy ass weapons like PBP or BAR get on my nerves -.-
