Which one would you choose?
Hello everyone, we would like to know what you want to see added to Zone iPhone. I am making this poll with a list of different things. Please choose the one you all would like to see added the most. These will not be event team or GP hosted. These will be actual additions to the server.
Any ideas you have that are not on this list please post below. Lets try and keep the spam to a minimum on this topic please. |

You need to make another version of showdown but for teams too hold. Like 5 people max to attack a squad with a max of 5 people to defend. Makes a planet for skilled players to hold and not just people with the highest numbers!

I think your first focus should be balancing money making and prices. I stopped playing because it took me an hour or two of playing and winning showdown practically nonstop to get 3000, but everything new costs on the higher range of 4000-10000

Other- Squad improvement; Point system; Basing Planet
A real ‘points system’ to measure and showcase squad competition should be implemented. Unfortunately, The flaws in ‘timed takeover’ that take dominance in iEra’s gang systems are already shining through on iZone. Squads can take over a planet during server downtime, and gain hours with little opposition. First and foremost, This seriously needs to be doctored up before making any additions to Squad activity. If the proposed basing system is implemented without it, it would mirror iEra’s tactless system where guilds merely idle in a base during inactive hours and rack up points; which doesn't test any level of skill at all-- It favors quantity to quality; and perhaps even geographical location. Points rewarded for time should be minimal, and include the added perquisite of contest. By this, I mean that squads must be within a reasonable PAR of each other in order to get 'time points' in a face off, and they must have an adequate amount members online to provide contest. I would suggest that, the gangs must be within five tiers of each other for 'time' points to be counted. Meaning, the #1 Squad couldn't gain time points against the #6 Squad; however, kills and deaths would still be counted, this way lower tier squads could still have a chance to come up, and the game can take place without discrimination. Kills would add points, deaths would subtract points. Also, the addition of a real "Basing" planet, including a full PK gmap, and Five "Bases" that are awarded to the top 5 Squads of the week. These bases are considered Squad territory, and therefore should be protected. Again, squad points would be awarded for kills, and subtracted for deaths. This again would reinforce that leaders be more selective when adding members. This would also invite the suggestion of base "upgrades"-- A central location on the new planet where Squad leaders can purchase upgrades with their accumulated squad points. This would force leaders to take more of a responsibility role, as the sole proprietor of the entire squad's hard work. Such a system would give squads reward for kicking ass. Examples of upgrades would be turrets, larger bases, maybe even a squad gun or bot upgrade(limited distribution; again, at the discretion on the Squad Leader). Of course, upgrades would need to be regulated to where they're not overpowered. It'd be a step backwards to make the rich richer. Of course, squads would lose their base if they cannot maintain that top five; but hey- competition brings players. Squad alliances would be possible. To act as a check-and balance to prevent a powerhouse of squads aligning with one-another, the point distribution system would discourage frivolous alliances. i.e. A victory by a single squad (three members from the same squad) would mean 15 points for that squad, however a victory by three combined squads(three members, each from a different squad) would mean 5 points per squad. While the plan is to create more emphasis on leadership and ‘skill’ to stimulate competition, it’s not to be misunderstood as newbie discrimination, but as a means that would enourage them to improve their game. By nature, this system will create a hierarchy of squads. Newbies will form newbie squads, battle other newbie squads, and eventually graduate to the upper-tier. This gives newbies something more to shoot for. This kind of system would give real Squads the clout they deserve. It's a system I've been wanting to see implemented on Era, and iEra for the past six years. Most people didn't play Era back when gang loyalty meant something, and leaders were forced to lead. It cringes me to see the same bad habits that have plagued both servers for so long emulated to Zone Squads. Nip it in the bud now. Any group of nitwits can melee a chest or sit at a capture point; winning sheerly on their superior number. The hell with the chests and capture points; Do it up old school-- Give virtuous squads a base, force leaders to lead, and call it a day. Nothing says "my squad's better than yours" than idling in your living room, PKing your squad upon entry. |
I'm with lowering the price and balancing the gameplay.

I tried scripting on iZone but I literally got NO power. I couldn't even add a script to the server or upload a level I made with scripts on it. That is a large reason to why I didn't want to work on iZone. Not sure how you can work without being able to have a place to add scripts. That was Matt, I'm not sure with Tashkin. It's not easy to script with literally the power to walk around only.

missions are pointless when the returns are soooo low and levels don't mean much ingame... I'd like to see domination maps/system scrapped all together for something new like one of these ideas as long as it means 1person can win 2/3/4 if gd enough.
Also make PK Arena allow bounty so we can earn money from killing there |

I think you should make a story questline.
The promo for iZone with the whole baddy war raging on into the future really got me interested in iZone when it was put out, and made me curious. The fact noone has brought this up more is a bit odd to me, considering I've seen people admit the same. You'd probably make iZone alot more appealing to other players, and even get onto iDelteria's style of play in some ways. Tons of people would be willing to contribute, I'm sure. No other iOS server has a storyline yet, and giving iZone one first would keep it alive for months, maybe even years, more than it would if you never even implemented one. Just to start you guys off should you take my idea, heres some questions I have about iZone you could tackle with a story. 1. What are these aliens? Why are they at war with the Graalians and what is their connection to the baddies? 2. What is the story behind all these planets, what governments are at war? 3. Who are the leaders behind each faction? 4. Why did the war between baddies and Graalians continue this long into the future? How have the baddies harmed us further to keep us at war with them for hundreds of thousands of years? 5. Why would the people of the future want to send us to their time from all the way back in era and classic, where most people have less fighting experience? I think thats a good starting point on how to start off a good storyline for iZone, if any staff read this and would like to implement it, I thank you for reading and am honored to be possibly inspiring you. |
Why there are only Events in the poll? Seems like you are focussing on Events like Matt.
Work on real content, Events wont help Zone in any way. Its just a temp solution. New tileset is a MUST. Not sure if Stefan is fine with custom chars, but would be awesome. The classes needs balancements, maybe add 1-2 more. and and and. |

To everybody saying there are too event based:
Tashkin can decide to make it a squad event, although the Hunger Games seems to be popular. I'm guessing it will be like showdown, you won't need a PvP coin for it, and even though Tashkin may have said event (I'm so lazy to check XP), I don't think he meant admin event. |
I make decent money in showdown- roughly 1.2k an hour for PKing isn't bad at all.
I don't consider PKing to be work; I do it for the fun. The money is a perk. |
Also, none of these are "events" hosted by staff, more of a minigme like showdown. You will either earn gralats or squad hours.

More showdown arenas would be a nice addition as well; with either random selection, or voted by the participants every round. "Team Showdown" would be neat too; as an ET event. The same concept as Showdown, except players are evenly and randomly divided into two teams, in two different spawn points. After the number of participants is down to about 3, it turns into a regular showdown between those three. Quote:
