Admin Helper Idea. SNK Read Too.
 

so ever since i first started i noticed that administrators never really help graalians with their problems its kind of annoying when we actually need help and cant get it becouse admins are too busy so i was thinking,

why not hire people who know about graal to help out the population and are mainly used just to help people.

all you would need to do is give the admin helper a different color name a tag and maybe some ability's like walk on walls or stuff like that its up to but the main point is getting people who can ACTUALLY help the noobies and such.


i love answering questions and have been playing ERA since it was first released i would love just to walk around and take questions and help people with their everyday problems so think about this and make it so they don't need a computer, they can do it right from their iphone/ipod etc.

trying to get fame then, eh? you can help people without actually having any staff tools or extras. PRs arent only helping players with in-game related stuff, also acting as a GP and checking more deeper reports such as hacked accounts etc.

or just hire them as PR's if that's what they needed?

*coughs* and what will happen is the "helpers" will pull prs chains and get themselves powers. and then there are problems

That is why PR's are for, maybe you are just asking the wrong admin in the wrong time , I always ask jeni(cuz she's mostly availiable )bcuz she actually wants to help$

Oh , and one more thing .
Don't put SNK READ DIS < VERY IMPORTANT!!! On every thread you make , you can email it to him if it is actually important.

If you really want to help others, you don't need to be an admin.you can just walk around and help people like I do.

How about have a training department, train PR babies, the best one wins.

How do you gauge which one is the "best"? Also, it'll get flooded w/ applications and people begging to be on the team.

On Star Legends, they had experienced players apply to receive a badge, which signifies them as support players. They don't get any powers, they are more of an official "Junior Admin". They only gave about seven people this position.

I think something similar to this would be a great idea. If they could get a few people to dedicate some time to answering questions, and helping people out in situations that don't require any powers, It could save PR's from a lot of spam.

Just have a board of these people somewhere, so they can be contacted VIA Personal Message. They wouldn't take the job of a PR away, but only make it easier for them by using their knowledge, and allowing people who have problems that need powers, to get to a PR easier.

Oh, and the fact it requires no powers, means they can do it all on mobile. (obviously)

First of all im not a freakin "suck up" i hae been playing era longer then most of you and i know more about the history of era then 99.9 percent of you so dont tell me what i am and how im a little admin jr. I was just saying it would be chill to have people who actually answear the graal pupulation without powers. And dont tell me admins are always available becouse they are not u have to be friends with a admin in order to recieve help sooo back on topic i just tought it would be cool to have this.

OT: This won't ever happen, it was already said before, if someone looks like they can help out whilst looking professional and mature then we will just hire them as a PR, there is no need to have a compromise between player and PR.

First of all, admins don't only answer to friends, they answer to everyone (if its relevant and he/she isn't busy.) Not every admin is required to help people, only PR's are required to help. But, some admins still help even though its not their job. And if a PR doesn't reply to you, and you know its appropriate and linked to Era, they'd be busy, PR's don't just help, they also work. Check uploads etc. And i'm not sure if you haven't noticed this, but people who aren't staff/who don't want to be staff, also help people, you don't need the ability to run on walls and such. If you are really desperate to be similar to an admin, go on Graal PC, and make your own server, or play someone's server. And try different commands etc.

Theres one huge problem with this. The issue is that people that are new will just AFK their way up to the top. Then theres players like me, who were around since the beggining, but don't AFK and don't have as high hours

There is a difference between online time, and experience. They would also have applications, so online time wouldn't matter.

Like everybody said, there's really no point in this as it is a Player Relations member's job to do these things.
But a helpful thing would be a list under Friends>More Actions that lists online Player Relations members. This has been stated before, but I don't recall any reason against this, and it has just kinda been ignored.

That is one thing I have agreed with. I have always felt that when any big gang leader is hired, they should have to cut all ties with the gang. Even if it may be unintentional, there would still be an underlaying bias favored towards the gang no matter what.

For this idea, you know you can help players that need it without the gold name right? It just seems like you want some kind of fame, that has to be earned over time. People do need in-game help, and this would accomplish nothing of the sort. If you truly want to help the server, ask new players in spawn if they need help, just saying.
