i need hair help

ok i have long blonde hair that is really thick and unmanageable, I have tried a lot of hair products but nothing seems to work, does anybody have any suggestions about what to do? AND NO I WILL NOT CUT MY HAIR OFF!

Myst 05-20-2013 01:45 PM

was gonna say cut it off, i suggest you cut it shorter (not too short) and while at hair dressers ask what they have for such a type of hair

instead of asking a bunch of random people on the internet

I have very thick hair as well. I don't even know why you're complaining to be honest. For girls, thick hair is a blessing. For guys, it's a nightmare. Maybe I'm wrong, that's just my take on it and what most people say is true. But anyways, you probably will need to cut your hair because sometimes it isn't the length of the hair, rather the density. My hair is super thick and grows back in a matter of weeks. What I do is I have it thinned out by whoever's cutting it. Most hair places should offer this option, so I don't think you'd have to go anywhere special for it unless you want to spoil yourself. But hey, I understand lol. Once by hair gets to be a certain length it just stops listening to me completely. It'll go one way when I want it to go another, stick out and refuse to go back down no matter what I put on it, etc. When that happens, it means it's usually time to break out the scissors. I'm no expert on hair, and I highly doubt anyone on here is o_o. Ladies? Idk. I would talk to whoever does your hair normally about it for advice. They would know a lot more about this than I would.

Go to your hairdresser and ask him/her to make it thinner.

Be happy about the fact you have hair at all.

Be bald like my daddy

Wear a beanie every day and let the hipsters devour you.

My whole family has extremely thick hair.. i hate it.

Anyway:
-BRUSH BRUSH BRUSH BRUSH BRUSH
-Wash hair everyday, thick hair gets oily quicker.
-If you wear ponytails, buy the thickest, strongest hair bands you can find. My sister busts a lot of hers because she has so much hair.
(-btw dont let hair go down drains or go in the floor or go in the laudry; i hate it when i find my sisters hair in my clothes or in the carpet x: so clean out your brush over the trashcan)

MrSimons 05-21-2013 02:51 AM

Yeah, just keep a comb or brush with you. When I let my hair grow out it gets really thick and thats what I do.

Zoologist 05-25-2013 07:59 PM

Cut all your hair off.

Rufus 05-25-2013 08:14 PM

Conditioner.

I really hate it when people tell me to fix my super oily and dandruffy thick hair with conditioner or whatever. I use conditioner, I've used every major type of conditioner. I've even used extreme medical shampoos prescribed by my doctor. Simple stuff like sticking my head in the sink three times a day and brushing it like crazy also does nothing either because my hair is like a sponge and absorbs it in less than 10 minutes. Nothing works. I guess my hair is just destined to be super thick and it is entirely biological, oh well, nothings wrong with keeping it very short i guess.

I've always wanted a mullet though.

Conditioner.

This helped me.

Dont wash your hair everyday. Try to wash it once every 2 days.
I know some people instantly are thinking "EW THATS GROSS OMG" But most peoples hair doesn't look greasy after not washing it for 1 day. It also makes your hair calmer when you let the natural oils in your hair do there work.
I hear about people who think they have greasy hair all the time, and they try to wash it twice a day to try to get it to look nice. This wont work, and your hair will just keep looking greasy if you do this. You will probably also go bald sooner.
Obviously you should still shower every day, and wet your hair, but you do not need to wash it with shampoo every day.

And if all else fails... Do what Classic always taught me, and buy a bunch of hats.

You don't have to cut your hair just ask a hair stylest to thin it out OR give you layers. Doing either will not shorten your hair, just tell them to not take off any length.
It'll give your hair better shape and it'll be easier to take care of.

Conditioner helps but it doesn't always work for everyone.
