Player Profile Updates
 

2. Male/Female Symbol
Similar to Era, the gender of the player should be put as a symbol in the header, next to the player's head. It gives a better overall visual effect.

3. Current Time
This would be a pretty nifty tool for tower taker's and such. This function would display the current time of the player, and can issue a very useful effect if wanting to meet a friend from a different time zone.

4. Activity Light
This would remove the unnecessary (offline) tag. The activity light would appear in the header, next to the user's gender and head. A player can switch their activity light according to their current state of activity.
Green - Indicating that the player is online and active.
Yellow - Indicating that the player is busy, paused, or away from keyboard.
Red - Indicating that the player is offline, or unreachable.

5. Character Animation
Some people dislike the repetitive animation in player profile's. Instead, player's can choose the animation that may appear visible to everybody that views their profile. These may include: Idle, Walk, Dance, Pogo, Hula Hoop, Cry, etc.

What are your thoughts?

I like them all. Id also like to note that I think it would be really funny to set the profile animations to somthing bizarre like "cry" !

This is a good idea! The scrolling character name is a great idea. The character animations could be really fun.

There should be an option that makes it look like you're offline. I would abuse that so much...

100% agree with it. Sometimes I couldn't see what their name was if it was too long.

Amazing ideas! I love your last idea, different animations. I'm trying to feedback on Classic these ideas. I hope they pull through!

Btw I have an idea of my own. Currently player profiles are very dense.. What if you could scroll on profile screens? This would a) allow things to be spread out more, b) allow other things to be added to profile, and c) have a larger status-space.

I like them all but mostly #1, #2 and #3.

How about a spot for total online time for the day? I know it shows last time you where online,but how about displaying the amount of time a person was on today? Could help better determine there activeness when recruiting for a guild.

also for #4 after clicking your activity light when going afk how about making a timer pop up above the player showing how long they have been inactive. It's one less thing you have to worry about when defending a tower and if you think they have been afk for to long you can give them the boot and free up a spot in your guild.

BTW you haters are never this nice or supportive of my ideas.

or after a few mins of being "afk" their indicator goes from yellow to red and they get automatically knocked off tag and open to be pkd and warped out of the tower so their not blocking or clogging areas in the tower for the currently active ppl.

These are all great idea's, I especially like the character animation it would be epic to have them.

Instead of the iEra's marriage system, I would enjoy iZone's. it's simply on their profile saying 'Partner: unknown'. Which is much better then having it added to your name, or having to click again on marriage to check who they're married to like iEra.

I like this, but it sounds like a lot of work. Perhaps the animatioin can be any item you've purchased. Example: If a person purchases juggle and wants to use juggle on their profile, their image on the profile will alwas run the juggle gani.

I thought this was such a good idea it deserves a bump.

I was towering recently,and have had several times when we where trying to group to atttack a tower and would repeated gc message or pm a player to come on for them to message 10 mins later that they where afk. I have seen this before and it got me thinking of this thread.

I thought it would be nice if there could be some kind of indicator when you click on a players profile to show if they are currently active,or it would show them as inactive after idling for more than 2 minutes.

There needs to be away to see if players are active or afk with out the player having to add it as part of their nickname. either as this guy suggested with indicators that players turn on/off by themselves or automaticialy.

But the only problem would be the kicked off tag part, what about offline bosses, sub tags, family/ friend guilds?

This thread has gotten an overwhelming amount of support! :) Anyway, if the developer's aren't going to work on game play features, they may as well work on tweaking/improving the interface.

The other ideas are okay, but this one I think is horrible.

Most 10 year old players have the term "game", and "dating sim" mixed up. If you haven't yet noticed, Young Girls + Online Dating =... I'll cut myself off here.

Giving information publicly, and possibly unwillingly, is just a bad idea.

Can we just have the "hide(insert profile info here)" removed?

But giving them the opportunity is a bad idea. Young people don't think ahead. and are generally naive.

I was mainly plugging the indicator light idea. In the last week or so alone I have had at least 3-4 times, when we are sitting at a location near a tower and my self of other guild members will send out gc messages or pms telling somebody to come and meet up with the group.

Then after 10-15 minutes they message back sorry was afk,or you say screw it and attack and after waiting 10 mins for that one person to show up you attack anyways and 1-3 ppl have went afk themselves waiting on that person to show up making it that much harder to take the tower.
