iZone Squad Spar Tournament

iZone Squad Spar Tournament

As the title Implies I will be hosting a zone squad spar tournament!
Since I am the only one running this tournament at this time the number of guilds is limited. Here are the details of the tournament:

-Date: Sunday August 4, 6pm eastern time
-8 teams of 4
-Winner stays loser walks

Prize

As this is a small tournament there will be no second place prize!

How to enter:
The guilds on the top leader board will get priority when we choose the guilds, any more openings will be first come first serve, HOWEVER we will not be choosing the squads until next tuesday(july 30th) This give guilds not on the leader board time to increase their ranking!

Email [email protected] with the following information:

-Name of guild
-Names of the members who are in the tournament

Note: you are not allowed to compete with multiple squads
Note: The leader of the squad must be the one emailing me

No rules? no requirments? other than 4 members? also it should be the top 8 squads on the squad spar scores becuase 1st come 1st serve means pretty much anyone can enter especially when u post it on the forums. this should be put in the news on izone so the actual playercount knows about this and not just the ppl who know about graalians.com because you would be suprised how many people dont read the forums.

We are not checking till tuesday so there is plenty of time for new guilds to get their ranking up :)

There is most likely a new arena for this that is 4v4. if not then they were lazy and just made the 2v2 squad spar arena 4v4 lol

if u mean it makes no sense cuz its 2v2 in SS thats fine bcuz SS is just being used for teams to get into the tourny and it can still be used for the teams to practice.

Doubt they'll release anything of that sort anytime soon, perhaps the extra 2 members are substitutes?

Awhile ago tashkin was working on a new squad spar level that held more people perhaps it is going to be a limited level or just saved for this occasion or later release

The same size arena will be used however teams will be summoned to it, this arena has no cap on how many players can compete.

Haha, they are all entitled to their opinions...personally I like yours though xD

Also I'll try to find another style hat as a second prize, then the winners can choose which hat they want :)

I think there should be a larger sized arena. Not sure how 4 in the small arena would work out. Finish the larger arena and I'm sure a lot of us would be down to do some testing for bugs etc to make the tournament run smoothly.

You sure that will work? Unless there is some way of summoning in spar, or you
are using a different level, I don't think you could do that.

Probably a bigger size, since the last one only allows 3v3 and not 4v4.

The level is the same size as the current level, the only difference is it has no cap on how many players it can hold, sorry if or the confusion.

I would hope so, honestly it would be up to other people who can make that happen...all I can do is make graphics and that dosn't seem to get me far in planning a tournament haha.

Planning no, making a it like classic (which is what he asked) however requires scripting/levels I believe, neither of which I have a talent for. I was not saying that I'm held back from planning a fun event by not having these skills.

Oh god. classic GST was horrible imo. 12 arenas? with what? a thouasnd people. LAG FEST.
Eras wasnt better. Favoritism by the staff. Poor setup and rules.

I think Zones Tourny will be the best so far considering how simple it is and its being hosted by a good staff member.

even if he doesnt have the skills required to create a lag fest like classic... doesnt mean this isnt going to be fun.

I believe central is one hour behind, so for us it would be 5 pm I suppose :)

6pm Eastern time would be 5pm Central time. Central time is exactly one hour behind Eastern time, so whatever time it is in the Eastern time zone just subtract one hour, and there you would have your answer for the time in Central time zone. :)

For Mountain time subtract 2 from Eastern time.
For Pacific time subtract 3 from Eastern.
For Alaska subtract 4.
For Hawaii subtract 5.

For Atlantic time zone add 1 from Eastern time.
For Greenland time add 2.

We actually have a gmap spar arena, but because of the it being a gmap the script would 't work. It's meant for 5v5...
