New vip item: riot shields

Ok so, Could it be added where you can stick your riot shield into the ground and use it as like a defense tactic? So instead of carrying it around, you can place it on the ground and use a gun? It would still block bullets and stuff but you can use it as like a miny wall.

It shouldn't even be a VIP item imo

The only problem i see with this is picking it up. There would have to be a button that returns the shield to your inventory, or some people would just leave their shields around and probably forget about them.

I see where this is coming from, @ Jake. Black Ops 2 :P. It sounds like a great idea, and maybe it will get added, who knows. Perhaps new colors? if you guys think it shouldn't be a VIP item then say what should maybe they will see your opinions and feedback and put it into work.

I already asked Tashkin why they didn't choose something else. He said they didn't have the resources to make something else and they had no other choice.

That... Really doesn't make much sense, to be honest. What, does Stefan have a a strict deadline for every single bit of content?

Nope they are still working on this big content they are putting in and stefan being strict does not surpirse me as people have said zone is his favourite server

Stefan wasn't being strict about it all, stop jumping to conclusions. We set our own deadlines. The VIP item is meant to come out every month, we aim for this target.

Why do you have to make up rumours? How do you even know it was Stefan? Your not staff on iZone, seems like you just want to bring Stefan's reputation down.

I agree, an important item like the riot shield shouldn't be added as an exclusive VIP item. Though, I saw Tashkin with a Gold Version so I'm assuming different colors will be released, but that still doesn't make sense. You're paying 7500 for the item and the color of the item? (I don't know, I'm making assumptions.)

Personally, I think it should give you a speed boost/penalty when using it. That being said, it should be constantly deflecting projectiles that you're facing. It shouldn't do any damage, but I guess be able to knock someone back a few tiles; possibly slowing/disorienting them.

Make it for defense and covering only!

Well seeing as how every bit of that was utter BS, you're not exactly one to speak. I in no way am attacking Stefan. Zone is Stefan's little pet, so that's why I assumed he holds the power to ultimately be the one who calls the shots.

If you would all be so kind and go riot on zone to replace the riot shield with my version, as i beleive my version is more fitting of the zone theme, and mine looks simply more badas. No pun intended.

Okay so maby some stuff is with its own iZone twist but scripts are still copied way to often.

I agree completely. A different item that has yet to be released on the server (and important I might add) shouldn't be an exclusive VIP item.

VIP should consist of items that don't add benefits, and don't change the gameplay. It should stick to items such as Melees, Hats, Guns, Robots, etc.

I like how you all of a sudden start to complain about the items put in VIP. For 8 months we have been adding similar type items to the server. We have added Melee, Guns, and Robots because it's what we have to add. The VIP item was already 4 days late and the whole month I have been trying to get something completely different released. However that wasn't possible due to not having staff readily available like the other servers. Zone might be 8 months old but its still fairly new. Stefan (and I don't usually name names) put no effort into helping bring something different for VIP and yes he is actually very picky on what gets added on Zone. We are always looking for new staff especially scripters to help make new things for the server. However, there isn't an abundance of scripters available on Graal anymore. So we all just have to be patient and wait as I am sure Zone will progress to how would all like to see it. Sorry to disappoint with the VIP. Hopefully the next one will be better. I am closing this thread.
