People Stealing Your Work
 

So a head is made for me, and I see a recolored one. I report them then an admin pm's me saying "Don't report this person for that this is not illegal" I find this wrong. I don't want graphics made for me being used by other people. I want It to be special, and don't want to see tons of people wearing it. People stealing graphics is not right, and shouldn't be allowed. Who else agrees with me?

with that said, it sucks that other people can/will steal your custom head, its happened to all of us.
Get over it and move on with your life. :D

It isn't exactly stealing, you are uploading an image file to a public game. Admins won't really do anything, especially if it just a recolor. Just start chirping at them, public humiliation works pretty well.

We've discussed this several times. I know it's not right for people to steal customs and I really hate it when mine are stolen. However, there isn't anything we can do about it. We've tried and failed so I hate to say this, but this isn't going to stop.

Some people steal graphics. And on PC, it gets worse, some people steal server content.

In my opinion, it's not a big deal on iPhone. You steal someone's stuff, and the consequence is that everybody hates you. On PC, you steal content, and the consequences can be even more severe.

My advice is to just ban against the people who steal your graphics, tell your friends about these people, (report them if you like, may or may not do any good), and just know that some people are good and others are bad. It's just the same way in real life- stick with the people you think are good and go from there.

Of course steal a staff members graphics and they will take action. But if it's someone else's work being stolen they honestly don't give a ****. Morals don't apply unless they are the victim.

You can never say to 100% if a person really made it them self. Because there are tons of heads on graal pc. In 10+ years there must have been a ****load of outfits being collected.
Admins (mostly) made the heads on their own. So they actually know if it's stolen or not. I suggest you to look at the soul slayer thread for more discussions.

If I had a dollar for everytime someone stole one of my bodies/heads.. I'd be freeking rich.

Also someone steals your graphic? So what its an arrangement of pixels. I understand it might have taken a while but, really all you've lost is 100% uniqueness on an online game. And thats not alot, I'd suggest getting over it.

Some people do value having an identity in the game and being unique is something some people care about.

The key word was 100%. I honestly agree a unique look is important.

Poorly phrased I guess. I mean that if your look isnt 100% original than who cares.

Graal is a large amount about customizing, and making your /your characters persona. So when people copy your appearance, or worse claim that they made the look, yea that is a case that should be responded to. That's why I always keep different saves of the graphics I work on, so I have the work in progress version to show I made it. Plus you can go back to unfinished graphic saves to use them as a template or base.

They sold that head for awhile in Deadwood so Matt really cant claim it as his own even if he did make it.

And of course those with less developed or unoriginal characters tend to be the ones that claim that having a original character isnt important.

Well that head was sold to all of Graal so I figured if it was sold to the community editing it wouldn't count as stealing it.

i think itd be good if everytime someone stole your custom head the creator got 5k
