I'm on 5.1.1 too, will switch over to iOS 7 when an unlock is released.

But holy ****, everyone in my school that owned an iPhone was talking about it all day. No class went by without someone saying how great it is.

A lot of the schools' wifi that had iPads and such were overloaded today. Lol

I dint like it on my ipad 2, its just not cool. The graphics look gey as ****, honestly I think they took advice from some swag feg on the graphics, and most of the features that even help arent even on the device. Its just a waste of memory for me.

A lot of people are suddenly complaining that the options are 'broken' and menus are way too large... I didn't realize ios7 was released today, is this something occuring for ios7 users?

See what happened with my 8GB 4G iPod Touch was it started to lag insanely at iOS 6 with the Internet shutting down for no good reason. I won this iPad 2 in a raffle and it was bought before the iOS 6 which had came out a month before, so I never updated my iPad 2.
Only bad thing on 5.1.1, is the YouTube links which takes you to YT preloaded app, which is so slow.

I think it looks like crap. 2D minimal is boring. It looks like a phone for a child. It looks like a chinese rip-off interface on a knockoff phone.
But iSheep will be iSheep and they will love and embrace anything Apple ****s out.

And apparently its causing battery issues. Yep time for everyone to go out and buy new iPhone 5's since your device you've spent hundreds of dollars on is a worthless brick now.

And the Gamecenter icon is a cluster of bubbles. wtf?

Knockoff phones are more popular anyway, so maybe they were just trying to get popular themselves.

The new lockscreen looks nice, and the interface too I guess. But ****, those icons look awful.

I can only update to 6.1.3 .... And I'm on an iPad mini, and my iPod says the same thing :(

Try updating to 6.1.3 then to 7. Maybe it will work then.

Lmfao, appled tried to copy features/the way android phones look like and failed hard with iOs 7, they couldn't find the balance btw utility and nice looking graphics. The icons are f****** *** bro, just a BAD rip off of stuff other companies already did.

iOS 7 is pretty ugly I have to admit but I do like the gif wallpapers and the new internet search bar and the keyboard, Johnny boy failed hard, the guy is to obsessed with simplicity and colour.

Lol my phone was $349 contract price, retail 799.
Its not a matter of money. I don't like restricted and boring phones.

iOS 7 comes out only for iPhones 4 & 5... No compatibility for iPhone 3gs, iPod Touch? Sorry Apple... You've lost me at last.

What are you talking about? Ios 7 came out on Iphone 4 and up, iPad 2 and up, and ipod 5. It didn't come out on the earlier devices not because of Apple's choice but because it doesn't support enough memory for it.

Apple knows the underpower their devices. So when the next big hyped up software update rolls around you have to buy a whole new device because yours isnt even supported anymore.

Why?

Everyone at my school was talking about it, but unlike the other person who said the same thing, I heard nothing but negativity towards it. I've been considering getting it, but I'm not sure what features would justify giving up my jailbroken 5.0.1 firmware. I'm leaning more towards upgrading to iOS 6 and jailbreaking it again, but they both seem like viable options. Any recommendations?

I really like the new iOS, but it just, lacks of innovation...

They always do something in an update I don't like which is why I'm skeptical about downloading new updates. I'm definitely not even considering it right now though until they make an untethered jailbreak for it.

I'll probably get an iPad 4 so I don't need to update my iPad.

While you're at it get a iPhone 5s, an iPod touch 5th gen and loads of other stuff regardless of their entertainment value.

But really. iPhone 5C for only $99?

The only bad thing I am experiencing is the lag on Graal, but that might be my connection.
But hey, it was only released yesterday.

Apple have never been very good at innovation. They are excellent at streamlining, optimizing and rebranding products to work smoother and seem better.

A hate the new iOS7 not trying to sound rude... However, I think the old version was better. I had iOS7 last year an un-installed it because I didn't like it. The only real reason I got it this time was because of the new radio features in the music app, I like that.

iOS 4.3 is better then this Android Rip-Off.

I just watched a full video explaining it's features today. Overall I would give it a 7/10. It just looks eh to me. There are some nice features in it, but overall I'm not all too interested.

A lot of the early products were shared by xerox and like I said polished, streamlined and optimized.

There's technical bug fixes and stability improvements behind covers~

I've noticed internet stability and I think QuickTime is much better so watching pron is faster idk if it's just me though

Apple is really starting to turn its back on older devices... Eventually devices people who still have like the old iPad, iPod and iPhones will be so out of date in terms of software. Ta hell with it... Maybe I'll just get an android...

Well I think iOs 7 is pretty cool :) I can't find any flaws.

Thats how Apple has always been.

At least with old Android devices you can root and download a firmware that works fast for your phone. Hell people are still rooting G1's on xda forums. With Apple once you download you're stuck with it. And if you dont download it eventually all the apps will be incompatible. So you get ****ed either way unless you buy a new device which is what Apple wants you to do.

Thats why for example my iPhone 3GS was fast a few years ago. Now its slow because it cant handle the new firmware.

What do you expect apple to do, never upgrade their phones? When they bring out a new phone they make it faster, meaning the other ones are slower. They only bring out 1 phone a year anyway and my iPhone 4 can handle IOS7 easily and that came out 4 years ago (maybe 3 correct me on that). Yes I can admit that 3GS sucks now, but you can pick up a iPhone 4GS for $500 (http://store.apple.com/au/buy-iphone/iphone4s) brand new straight from apple.

I don't understand what your getting at, I don't know much about android but if their not making their phones faster every time they release one then that's a ****ty company and apples better.

Actually, I'll be sticking with 5.1.1 and an amazing custom theme I made myself. When an iOS7 jailbreak comes out, I'll probably wait a month or so for things that are developed (Cydia tweaks, themes) to be 7.0 compatible.

iPhone 5s for 500$? Sorry bud. But not many parents spend 500$ for a kid to have a talking piece of glass... A 16 gigabyte Galaxy S4 costs only 200$.

So what your saying is android is cheap? Is that all?
