limited time events
 

I'm not trying to complain,but I think that the limited weekend events (Nexus,Rev,Holidays,ect.) could be stretched out a bit. From what seems like 2 1/2 to 3 days to at least a full 4 days or a week. I don't exactly like it when things are limited to one weekend only as I am not one of the 98% of the classic population that is not a teenager in school,and I am busy most weekends so it is harder for me to be online during the weekends do to work and family. I would really like to see things set to last for at least 4 days as in start very early Friday morning and ending very late Monday night/early Tuesday morning do to the time zone differences.

Imo the full format would allow for everyone a better chance to enjoy the event and have just a tiny bit more time to gather gralats if they are just short of being able to purchase items. Just as an example I was un able to obtain the lasso from the last Nexus opening do to towering and weekend un ability. Its also hard to do things like that when there is limited opportunities to try mini games or what have you when there is a billion people in the que waiting to try and you don't have the time to wait around and hour to have a chance to try it.

The point of it being unexpected is make you buy gralat packs, unless you were to stay online all day, contributing to player count, to farm.

The point of it being limited time is to keep stuff at least a little exclusive.

same with the cost on things... if it is expensive, it becomes rare sheerly because few people purchase it...

I was bothered with the queue in the lasso thing too, but in retrospect, what good is the lasso?

I quite liked the lasso, It is just as fun as using a juggle or pogo.

I thought we settled the debate of surprising players vs telling them in advance in a previous thread? I dont care to much about having a little more time to get more gralats anyways i just added it as it would be kind of a side effect of making limited time only events longer. My main point was when there are things like the mechanical bull and 65 billion players lined up in the que then maybe the event time frame could be stretched out. And the fact im affriad of missing out on things because they happen more on Saturday and Sunday when im not able to be on.

I don't feel like you are watching out for players with this issue but watching out for yourself.

They make it like that so things stay rare and it gets people to buy packs, i am in school so i can't be on in the day and sometimes after school if i have to stay back for anything. So if people buy packs then when they get back from school they can buy stuff.

I wasn't trying to be selfish. I don't see whats the harm in stretching out something just a little longer to make sure Everyone gets a chance. I understand why they do it like they do I don't have to be told over and over and over again its to keep the stupid hats rare I GET IT. As far as the Gralats go again It's not really about that,it's about having a little extra time to get stuff that may never be available again.

It doesn't take long to farm, in swamp i can farm 5k in maybe an hour or two.
you just want more time so you can take your time.

When they open it for a week people don't worry to go there, when it's just a weekend people buy more of the stuff because it's limited even if it's bad.

Like the Revolution before this one with a few crap hats and nothing else? It was sucktacular.

In my opinion things are fine they are with limited time things and the surprises, thats been the same for a really long time and although a lot has changed in Graal thats one of the things I'd really hate to see go, all I can really say is I like surprises and surprises are what make the party

I still don't see the harm in opening it early Friday (3am pst) so its friday in all time zones,and closing it at 3 am pst Tuesday so its not longer Monday in any time zone. At the very least 3 am Friday morning till 3 am (pst) Monday morning that way its a full 3 days 4 days does seem a little longish and week would be over doing it now that I think about it.

Also as I have suggested before put a "bouncer" npc in front of the building to serve as a buffer and allow VIP's to enter it a day earlier than anybody else. This would also serve to reduce the over all swarm of players waiting at or running to which ever building is open for the weekend. The recent opening of Rev was a fine example of this as more and more ppl showed up as the opening was announced on FB and word got around. The more that are in the room means more lag and its harder to see and touch the items to better examine them.

I made 75k off bees in 2 weeks last year, in order to purchase the Wombat mount... 2-3 hours of bee "farming" a day... only to have the limited edition spider 2p mount come out for 70k like a week later... I was unhappy at the length of time it was available, but moreso that I didn't have any warning.

Now easter is here and I can't even log on because of lag... no chance to get eggs at all... I get like 20 seconds of black screen before I get kicked off the server...

Fun times... black screen.... still don't even know what the prize is this year XD

I sorta agree with stretching out events such as the candy nexus, where there is a ton of effort and content put onto the server.

On the contrary, it would be nice to open up the rev or nexus for a single night, such as a friday or saturday night, where a single hat or toy is sold. It would add a little spice to the game, and perhaps something to do for us kids who have no plans on weekend nights :P

I think there would be a lot of pissed off players if they did a one night only thing. Unless they maybe announced it ahead of time. Just without giving much details.

The point of these limited time events are for players to be surprised. If they know ahead then everyone will farm and nobody will purchase gralat packs. But really all you have to do is spend a couple hours farming to get money. I can make 10k in the grotto by bomb farming in 3-5 hours. So really I don't see any issue here. But what you're suggesting if more time for you so you can take your time getting money.

I see your point. I still can't really see them just releasing something for like a 12-24 hour period.
