Classic Event Ideas
 

I know theres some new events and I was thinking, what other events could there be. So I made this thread to ask all your graal players out there what event ideas you have to share with us. It can be with era,classic, or even zone but you have to type what graal your talking about at the end of your sentence/paragraph so we know what you want for that said game. Heres my event idea: Everyone is lined up in rows, arrow dispensers fire from all directions and you have to tap the direction that the arrow is coming to you, and the less people or the longer it takes for others to die(one hit kill) it gets faster.-Classic

PLEASE re-touch the horse race track, or make another one - it seems like the same 5-10 people ALWAYS win because they have done it so many times.
Also, in regards to horse racing I have an issue on PC - often (before race is over/a winner happens) I get the 'wrong way' message even though I am fully aware of the course and have not gone out of bounds. I think it may have to do with lag, but am not sure.

As for event ideas, how about a bug-catching event? Something like the first one to catch 25 butterflies in the event area wins? The idea here would be that people would get a chance to catch a handful of butterflies before the timer was up and still get to keep em :)

Another could be a farming event - maybe teams - whoever makes a red gralat in their patch first wins? Then the runners up could get the gralats they had farmed? A little half baked, I admit, but I am trying to work with what functions are already in game...


Which leads me to my next thought in this matter - some kind of consolation prize for certain events would be nice. It sucks to be in the last 3 or 4 people and get burned and receive nothing...

I will think about this and no doubt come up with more :)

It isnt because people will be lined up and they have the face the direction of the arrows in time to not die, it sounds like it but it isnt because in spider pit you have the free will to move anywere and 3 lives, in this you have .5

I have a ton of ideas for this in my numerous threads in the future improvement section. I agree there needs to be new events. Chance is getting old and Hide n seek sucks because they dont even give hints when they rarely do hide n seek then the admin is found before you can even search one building. I do like how axel does it where he will hide under an object usually a bush that seems to make it more challanging. I would like to see more admins to this or even hide under the pots.

My favorite event has to be trivia because you can do it from anywhere and you dont have to race to a particular location and fight through the hat chaser mob if your late in arriving. I wish they would do more trivia.

Maybe they could do a "maze" event like at rufus's house.

I see where your getting at but I have some things to say bout this, maze's were really easy in rufus's house and they already have hidden paths & the trivia is too quick in my opinion but the hide and seek was actually fairly easy, you just had to be prepared and yes chance is getting bloody old like wtf

How about an event were u dont have to race to the other end of the map to get there and get past

I wouldnt mind seeing an event were some kind of monster or boss apears and whoever takes it down recievs a prize might be cool to have it in guilds and u split a cash prize

Events often reward those with knowledge and skill at the game...
Maybe there could be an event like the chest game where players have to locate a (hidden/placed) book in one of the many bookshelves in graal to get their prize?

Only event idea Classic needs right now is for staff to actually host more often and go back to hosting 3 events consecutively...

Whenever I'm on I see staff hosting constantly.

Oh, well admittedly when I get on earlier during the day(12-3pm EST) there's barely staff on, so not much hosting. Most of the hosting is going on when I get on at like 11pm-1am.

I totally agree with the horse race track. I would like to see it moved in doors at least so it cant be glitched into as easy. Dont get me wrong im against them deleting things from the game as they have all ready deleted to much stuff. However i wouldnt mind if they deleted the track off the map its only used for events on rare occasions as it is. Provided they put it in a building that can be opened up for events. Maybe that would help them in making alternative courses as well.

I think the same problems exsist with bush races as the same ppl win that event not all but a lot. Then you still have the growing issue of ppl winning events that all ready have the hat. Not that it will stop the idiots but they should send out a global announcement before the event that an event will start shortly and this is the hat u could win. I know people dont care but I get tired of seeing the few events we do get that get ruined because the winner has the hat all ready. And admins dont seem to want to do anything about it

I remembered this reading another thread, but feel it fits here to. This event is hosted by any player. Admins do what they can but we need to develop more player hosted events like classic use to have. Remember connect 4 or the poison type game with beer mugs. They were unofficial events hosted within a level.

If I remember correctly, the poison game is classic didn't effect your health. Each player had a box there stood in that kept score. There were 9 boxes total. The beer mugs were in the middle, and were reset each turn. This is where I'm a bit foggy, but once your box opened I believed you had a certain amount of time to run to the middle, drink a beer and make it back to your box before the time was up. Before the box open you would bet how many beers weren't poison. Example, if you say 3/10 there's less chance to pick the right beer, but if you pick the right one, its more points to you and vice versa, if you pick 8/10 you have more of a chance but will get less points. The time limit is only to keep the players active, and first player with the to reach 50 (for example) wins. I may be wrong on a few details but I believe that's how the game went. It was actually pretty fun.

Was ctf ever an event? I would like to see it as one which would work in rounds like team fort.
