Hello all! Merry Christmas

With all the "GIFT4GIFT SUPERS ONLY U FIRST NO SCAM!" going on, I wanted to give a gift away or two to random graalians members.

If you think you deserve a present, say why you think so. Chances are, I'll pick someone who hasn't done gift4gifting, or doesn't have many presents, maybe 5 or less. If I can't decide, I'll put a few names into a randomizer and pick that way.

Make sure to add your in-game name/guild so I can find you. I'll decide how many people, and which people, by Christmas Eve, so keep posting till then.

Please gift me because I've been banned for 4000 hours for saying "selling account" and then got banned again for another 4000 hours for "multiple bans". I have no gifts and probably won't get any . Because I only have 3 friend on graal, they prob won't gift me also. You should come join me and give out gifts to people with 10 or less presents lol. It's actually a lot more fun than it looks, plus you get the feeling of doing a good thing for others lol. Just be sure to have them move their presents and furniture around to make sure they aren't holding out on you.

I've been doing something like this, but with people under 10 hours. Usually those in the police station, around Balamb ship, or in semi-popular newbie locations such as the churches. Best feeling when they've got the house pack.

I wanted to do something like that, but sometimes people create newbie accounts so I don't want to accidentally give a gift to the wrong account lol. But it'd be suspicious to why someone would be using an alternate account right about this time of the year... *shifty eyes*

It's fairly easy to spot who is new and who is pretending to be new. At least it is to me lol.

Did something like this last year when I had 60k gralats to spare. Sadly this year I slacked off and only collected about half as many gralats so didnt have much left over after going through my usual list.

I haven't bought into a single one of those gift4gift things. Already knew that'd start scams from the release. Still, despite all that nonsense, I've been giving out gifts to random people online. Mostly those who aren't spending hours upon hours begging for stuff, doing the gift4gift thing, or being rude to others (that i can see). I've given out around twenty gifts I think? I don't know. Lost count. Anyhow, in the collecting stage for money wise so I can continue it. I'm not giftless myself. Got 6 from some nice friends of mine. :) Not refusing any others that might happen to come my way though. lol

I walked around trying to find people with no gifts in their house. It's surprisingly hard... I found one person and when I left the house they were gone :/

I gifted a few people who had fewer than 5 gifts, I'm not super rich so I'm taking a break from it lol

I'm going to point out (scrooge, I am) that many of those people with less than 10 hours are young kids (8-12) who won't even be playing in a few months' time...

Not with that attitude, small things like this can be a bigger factor in whether or not they stick around then I think you give it credit for.

The last time I was banned I was unbanned on my bday it was a 8000 hour ban. 0.o

My mam banned me last christmas(for something i didnt do :(. ) so god have sympathy on me this christmas because my life is so terrible

They're way more appreciative and thankful in most cases. Gifting your friends is fun and all, and it brings a great feeling, but it's almost as if you're expected to gift them and you're expecting a gift from them. Strangers, however, are usually way more appreciative and there's more value to it than 500 or 900 gralats. Last year, I was shocked just how many strangers remembered me gifting them. I'd get messages from people I've completely forgotten about in the summer time. I think the joy really comes from that feeling of doing something selfless, and as a bonus gratitude tends to follow.

Sick of people come online then beg for gifts then brag about how many they have. Or whine for a gift and don't want to gift back. Or the ones who come on your guilds tag or an ally tag and haven't been on tag for months and start asking for gifts.

I gave out a bunch of gifts to friends and several ppl In my guild just because without expecting anything in return. If you want to gift me then gift me if you don't you don't I'm not going to run around and beg and barter and scam like all the other greedy bastards.

The one really great thing I love about Classic right now is for 4 days I get to buy gifts, run my own events and give them away as prizes to my friends. It would be great if they had something similar to this year round so we could run our own events instead of admin run events. If we had the ability to buy "mystery" boxes and give them away as prizes we would have the ability to run what I call "local" events which would get rid of the need for admin run events and cut down on lag.

Btw I know most players probably don't like them but IMO they should run mostly Trivia events and not so much the other events. You don't have to go anywhere for them which means there isn't a ginormous lag causing pk pit.
