If you're a fan of the MOBA series, (DotA, wc3, HoN) then it is fun. It is hard to get started however.

I have wc3, it was in an USB stick I found at the library so I kept it :P I was like 11 or something back then, I didn't know what it was just thought it was a little gadget so I brought it home and tossed it around like a ball and snatching it in mid air, in grade 6 they asked for USB sticks and i saw one at the store and remembered the one I found, loaded it on computer an it had WC3, Halo CE, Age of Empires 2 trial edition and all these songs

Oh, well WC3 isn't actually even close to DotA, dota was created as a custom map using the wc3 engine, google "dota 2" icefrog is developing a new standalone moba.

How hard is it really to start off in this? I've never played it before, but I heard the difficulty is pretty high at the beginning which puts me off.

Pretty hard, but the matchmaking sets you off with noobs. once you get the hang of it, the game is extremely addicting.

You learn really fast, just don't run right into their towers, and run/recall when you are about to die/low on mana. the rest you will learn over time lol. just play the tutorial and batle training. boring, but it helps you.

LoL is horrible. HoN is where it's at, unless you enjoy a butchered child's version of DotA.

Real time or turn based? I'm gonna go with real time, and personnaly I'm not a fan of real time.

LoL is much better, when a company has to go F2P just to compete... you know it's bad.

Fanboy? No.

S2 has gotten greedy lately and are just trying to maximize profits. We still get our great updates but they're trying to increase the playerbase a bit and it's working. Either way I don't see how their economic model effects the fact that LoL is a joke. Riot Games has the money, I'm surprised they're not making better use of it.

Either way I'm waiting for DotA 2.

I play here and there with people I know irl. I haven't had the time to reach level 30 yet (am level 28), but I never really got hooked onto it like the others I know.

Dominion is coming out, new game mode, magma chamber, 7x7 map. Also 3 million$ prize pot.

Yeah, they're trying to expand into no-man's land with DotA 2 around the corner. It's a pretty smart thing to do. I thought it was 5m?

Doesn't matter, I'm not coming close to that LOL. Anyways, HoN and LoL are great games, I just prefer the more casual LoL playstyle, I find denying/creepwave blocking just a hassle.

Hassle...:(? Denying is a core gameplay component. Deny one creep and don't let the other person deny you on the first wave (this is mid btw) and you're level 2 while they have to wait for the next wave as a level 1. :3

I do wanna download LoL and give it a run, just to see how high I can climb...

Season 2 is starting soon, recommend you get lvl 30, then play some ranked solo queue. You may encouter trolls though, but no hard ragers like in HoN

There is no OP champ. Basically whoever gets fed by getting killing sprees is the OP one.

So you guys liked dominion? To be honest I just prefer to play the classic style. I kind of enjoy the gradual growth of ones stats rather then the rapid builds of dominion. Also in classic the ones who worked hard to farm gold can really shine end game. Which is near impossible through all dominions chaos.

I like dominion because it takes more skill.
