Samurai Flamenco (Spoiler Heavy Thread)
 

I've been catching up on 'Samurai Flamenco'. I just finished episode 7.

I've absolutely loved it up until now. The bike chase scene for the umbrella is probably one of my favorite television or movie scenes ever.

However, the last 5 minutes of episode 7 happened, and I did not see that coming AT ALL!
After watching it, I nearly hyperventilated from laughter. That's gotta be the biggest shift in tone I've ever seen!

'Twas Such a big surprise for me, that I felt obliged to start a thread discussing this show.

A part of me is still hoping that it isn't real, because it just doesn't make any sense at all in the context of the show that has already been established.

Despite becoming a completely different show, I hope it can still continue to be very enjoyable.

Conclusion:

Episodes 1-6.9 == Awesome
Last 5 minutes of Episode 7 == WTF!?!

I guess I enjoyed Samurai Flamenco right up until episode 11...

Episodes 8-10 are pretty good but the episodes 11-12 are not so good

However i take back my statement after watching episode 13. Seriously this episode was the best of the series

Alright this show has just tied the story about all the wierd crap stuff brilliantly and has definetky played is 3-headed platnium dragon

It was going Gurren Lagann for awhile, just upgrading his hero status with hella parodies.

But now it looks like he gets to play the anti-hero for a bit.

I liked the American.

It was so cleverly done that people were started to get annoyed with the series and bam, manglobe pull it out of the bag and make it into an awesome plot twist that makes sense

Saw the last 3 episodes.

I admit they're a lot more epic that the few that came before.

I'll probably get back into watching this series.

Episode 16 is out if you dont know and its very good. Although the title for episode 17 is ultimate prime minister which could mean anything

Noooo! Apparently America has been taken over by aliens!

& Yuri scene covered in vomit was funny.


Now I am quite interested in why everyone is a Flamenco.

And the prime minister UNACCEPTABLE scenes had me rolling on the floor laughing

same, then it turned into power rangers...

Episode 18: huh?

Continued the Gurren Lagan craziness, and explained things in Haruhi Suzumiya fashion (everything about this show reminds me of other shows).

This seemed like a good second to last episode, but knowing there are still 4 episodes left likely means that we still have a few more plot twists ahead of us.

Such an interesting show. Did not go at all how I expected it to.

I wasn't too happy about the 'love' arc last episode, so I was wondering how the show would be concluded. I am quite satisfied with how that was resolved... so very unexpected for me.

Fitting end to a fitting series. I have enjoyed it, even though it's been a 'wat' show.

It was a rollercoaster ride that nobody could have predicted what would happen each episode
