PK boosting

Ok so I have just come back onto zone after a short break of it, and I am not sure if this works or not still, You can only kill the same person twice or three times I believe, but I see people kill one afk player, then go and kill another player ect. Does this still add to your PK's or streak or not just wondering.
I don't know if this ever has worked or if it's been patched while I was gone, but thanks to anyone who can answer this :)
Also if it is not fixed is someone working on it, I don't know why it just irritates me when I see someone trying to boost or boosting..

Technically its your fault to afk in a pk area.

Ghettoicedtea 01-28-2014 09:45 PM

you can only kill the same person 3 times in a row until you kill someone else for it to count as a kill. Otherwise, the kill dosen't count. Plus with the skyzone bases, pking is much faster now.

xDesire 01-29-2014 01:57 AM

The trick is to kill someone three times, kill someone different, then kill the afk 3 more times. Repeat the process 1,500 times. Be like aero.

Ghettoicedtea 01-29-2014 03:36 AM

you still get more kills faster by killing others around you

Doshy 01-30-2014 07:37 AM

Haha I'm not really wanting to boost it just irritates me when I see people doing it that's all, I don't afk that often anyway so it doesn't happen to me.

Lowes_Employee 01-30-2014 09:56 AM

It was a jailable offence on PC Classic (I'm aware that Classic is not Zone).

The trouble I see with making it illegal on Zone now would be the massive player count. Enforcing such a rule would be difficult, and an automated system doesn't account for ever possible scenario where someone could be innocent or guilty.

You could, however, decrease the amount of points toward a PK score you get when killing the same player too often. I don't know how PKing effects points or score, or it there is even a damaging issue at all, because I don't play Zone; however, if there is a point system and boosting is an issue it could alleviate part of the problem by making the effects of boosting less damaging. Or, all of this already exists and there may be nothing that can be done further without ruining game playability.

When I played Zone on PC, it didn't matter if someone had a high kill streak because there was a bounty system. The more people they kill, the higher their bounty and the more money you would gain from killing them. I can see getting a high bounty and purposefully dying to a friend to give them money a small issue. That was rare on PC because it took too much time to get the bounty and the bounty was easy to lose to someone other than the person you intended to give it to. AKA it was a waste of time.

I think you've got the wrong server, zone's player count isn't that high compared to the other servers.

Lowes_Employee 01-30-2014 10:21 AM

It's still much more than any PC server at any point in time.

Ghettoicedtea 01-30-2014 08:19 PM

dosent PC only average 80 players or something?

Doshy 01-30-2014 10:19 PM

They have an automated system at the moment on idevice so that you can kill 1 player 3 times until the pks no longer count and on classic yes boosting would get you a warning then a ban or jail.

NeoZX 01-30-2014 10:52 PM

Auto warn after killing someone more then 10 times if they haven't moved??

It's a mix of pk and boost.
I've seen you kill afks.

Tashkin 01-31-2014 05:05 AM

It will get you banned and your kills will be reset. If you don't care about that though have fun.

Ghettoicedtea 01-31-2014 04:21 PM

well sheiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit im getting reseted now since I kill afkers all the time.

Doshy 01-31-2014 11:06 PM

I don't think it matters so much if you kill afkers once or twice

If you're able to get away with resets on the iServers, I'll be surprised. My account on PC Zone had gotten a reset, posted about it and got a response from Stefan in that thread within hours saying he'll get it fixed and this was all after Zone died.

Sariss 02-01-2014 12:06 AM

PKing random afkers will get you banned? It's their fault they're in the way.

NeoZX 02-01-2014 12:26 AM

How about a better auto disconnect..

Ivy 02-01-2014 01:02 AM

You should ban all the pkers, then they can't boost! :D
just kidding

Ghettoicedtea 02-01-2014 01:49 AM

yes yes and we should also ban all those assholes at start who afk and take up space on the servers :D

Please do! I report all those morons who idle saying they're single and all that. Then I publicly humiliate them, and they dissapear(banned maybe) :D

Shiz 02-01-2014 10:42 AM

Should be a script on AFK'ers that if they dont move for five minutes and killed they'll be sticked automatically.

GlazeyB 02-01-2014 06:30 PM

or you know

force disconnect them after 5 minutes.

no dude, afkers are free kills and i take advantage of that. I usually pk them then another guy near me then the afker again, then another person etc etc. Except in planets. I leave them alone so they get a huge bounty then kill em.

NeoZX 02-02-2014 05:57 PM

Ban them for life
Reason: Download Graal Classic.

xAero 02-11-2014 02:38 AM

Just as Shiz said, make a script that sticks them if they dont move for 5 minutes. Problem Solved!
