Sadly, I'm a daily player of Era and I agree to this. Pre-Bar was the time Era was truly epic.. Post-Bar is when the BS happens... Overpriced guns, changing current gun prices, nerfing all jobs, making the game pay2win, even chaning uncessary stuff like the bar at Astros. Truly Era was best for me at fall of 2011-2012. 2013 started seeing the changes and by the end of 2013-2014 it was screwed up. Still, I will play merley as I got my guns before the price changes like the M4 and got a few friends on there so I'm fine. Just feel bad for the new players. They never got to experience the true Era which is now in the past.

When they played era for the first time, there's only like 500-800 players online there.
And you don't see all those new auction packers or gun packers coming up to you and shoving their BAR/Pbp/shipka right at your face.
Right now, you get many PM after killing someone with a easy and cheap gun(including noobs), that is why a game is fun for an early start.

Other than the guns, and certain staff, Era is quite cool with the upcoming updates.
If you hate it doesn't mean we should, and if the community hates you just don't hate the game.

It's amazing how often the iEra staff talk about "future updates" and NEVER follow through with them. You would think by now they would learn to keep their mouths shut to not get our expectations up until it is actually being released.

So you guys are now copying of zones iceria and Choros planets because that's what those are essentially, conquest from BF. Im going to be honest here. Cmon are you serious? trash that concept and if your going to copy off battlefield it better be RUSH mixed with tank superiority of just one objective that takes a long time to cap.
Era does NOT work in objective based games because for starters, you never do them correctly. You always make the objectives take X amount of hits before you take over the objective. This is doing nothing but just promoting rush the objective with melees and don't bother about pking others. What should be done instead of take X amount of hits is 1 person that stands in range of the object is 1 second and it takes about 60 seconds to cap a objective. It theres another teammate in the range then you cap it faster as you are now going at 2 seconds making it only taking 30 seconds to cap the objective etc etc. However if a enemy is in the objective ring with you, then the two cancel eachother out and the objective pauses. If there is more than one enemy in the objective then they start to capture the objective.

If we never mention any updates are coming along, players will think the staff team isn't working.

But if we mention them and take longer than usual, players will think that we're not working.

Because every player thinks its easy to just to do this or that and send it right out. It takes time. scripting, leveling, coming up with ideas, how this should work. etc. etc.

You guys think that everyone on the staff team is helpful with development, when actually it turns out to be one person who is doing their own thing, while the others have to make holiday stuff for everyone else. This is why most ideas get discarded or put on hold.





and i could bet you if we skipped a holiday, everyone in this forum will bitching about it... just like with everything else we do.

Players start to not think you are working when you say you are working yet nothing gets finished

No one is announcing it except that one staff member. You don't see us advertising that John is doing all these possible future events... o.o

I like to share with players whatever I create before starting to make it, to get opinions, ideas, and change them while developing.

Not my problem if it took time, I'm not full-time on Era, rare are the people that help on these type of projects, so you expect me to release unfinished content just to get you guys the update earlier?

I'm the only one sharing these news and updates is because I'm the only one working on them, knowing what's missing, checking what can be added. Whereas other staff have other stuff to do and 3/4 of them don't know that those certain events even exist. Technically I'm the only one (aside from a few) able to leak this information.

Ex: Coops project

And it's those projects that are the only ones publicised so you can't really expect your player community to not expect and look forward to it, and not get agitated when a year later, nothing has come of it.

I haven't said anything about Coop's town.

This project still needs a little work (like, quite tiny), but the developers responsible for it have some rl stuff to do, and those stuff always comes first.

As the time passes, as more ideas come to mind, and more stuff gets added.
