GST Item Thoughts
 

Hey there, TwinTayls here again wanting to start up a probably new discussion. It's about GST items, yes, those fun little trinkets we all get for getting past the first round. There have been fun ones like Whistle, Taunt, Meditate, and so on. Is there any items any of you hope to see in the future? Personally I'd love to see maybe the Sword Dance, Morpher, and even Totem Pole items added to the little random roster. Leave some cool original or old seen GST/Event items in the comments. Adios!

gst is worthless considering the amount of lag and delay in spars.

There should be an item which is basically the GST prize belt, then people will feel happy and not depressed about them losing at least they have something to show off.

I'm picturing the part in LoZ: Wind Waker after you beat the game when you play again and Link is supposed to get the clothes from is grandma, but gets jack squat. :D

Like Thallen said, since already so many people already have all the GST items, the only thing that matters to them is beating everyone and winning the GST belt. Unforutnately most guilds in the GST only really plan to get past the first round so they can receive the item, and usually after that their motivation to spar isn't as high as before.

gst is not only about getting the belt

We should have a gst item that let's you hit people with pillows and it doesn't Bother their life. The only way to obtain this item is get passed round 3 and the probability is harder. Therefore people will train, dedicate, lag switch their way to get to round 3!

There is one like that on UN, and its quite fun!

My team won a bunch of times and I can honestly say it does not matter about the belt or hat. Its a nice addition, but naah. I can live without.

Be honest: the first time you did the GST you were totally in it for the item/hat/GST belt.

The first time she did a GST there wasn't an item or a belt, but before that she used to host her own tournaments for fun.

Force someone to make one!

I guess you got me there, but I'm pretty sure everyone was excited about the first hat/belt and really wanted one when it was released. Who wouldn't be?

Me and the players that didnt bother trying to make it to the gst.

And as I recall, the whole idea was hers before it was scripted into an event.

And believe it or not, back then, people werent near as obsessed over items and prizes as now. lol after the first gst, it was more like, "where the hell is that annoying high pitched sound coming from?" (whistle item)

Both are true, but the organized event was not because of me. It's more like a coincidence.
