Recommend me some good Anime
Hi.
A friend of mine recently got me back into anime so yah, Ima throw my list of which I recently watched and since there's too many existing animes to make a choice I'll watch some you recommend to me. Recently watched: -Kill la Kill -Gurren Lagann -White album 2 -Attack on titan Old/Gave up (for the moment) -One piece -Naruto Planning to watch: -Cowboy Bebop Fav one so far was WA2. Didn't think it'd be my type of stuff but it was amazing. I'm new to watching the real stuff like just subbed, I used to watch OP/Naruto but discovered all this recently. So yeah, if you can recommend some good ones (preferably animes that have <50 eps ) would be nice. |
I'll probably add to the list from time to time.
In no particular order some few good animes: -Blue Exorcist -Death Note -Sword Art Online -Mirai Nikki -Clannad -Wolf's Rain -Pandora Hearts -Elfen Lied -Another -Beelzebub -Soul Eater -No-rin -Angel Beats -Black Rock Shooter |
-Baccano! (an amazing mafia style anime that is all types of cool in it)
- Hellsing Ultimate (another amazing show with the best vampire character in any media of entertainment in Alucard) - JoJo's bizarre adventure (2012) (one of the funnest most manliest show to ever exist, JoJo is a must watch if you love shouen) -Psycho-Pass (a gritty, futureistic crime drama which deals with many meanings of society) |
Why don't you make an anime list ? Would be an Easy way to list then out
Ano natsu de matteru- really good romance /comedy / alienish Fight : D.gayman Soul eater Sword art online ( also romance ) Accel world black bullet Magi ( also adventure ) |
I haven't seen White Album yet, planningnto later, but I know it's like a heart breaking Romantic Drama, correct me if I'm wrong. I just love dramatic series though.
Some other good drama series: Anohana ~ The Flower We Saw That Day (My favorite series) Ef - Tales of Memories/Melody (Interesting character story, confusing at the start) Bungaku Shoujo (aka Book Girl) (It's a movie, starts off boring then gets into the drama) All Famous Clannad and Clannad Afterstory Kimi no Iru Machi (aka A Town Where You Live) I heard it's a bad adaptation compared to the manga, but I still enjoyed it's drama. Kokoro Connect (A good drama about a god who tests the friendship between a small group) Madoka Magica (Sounds childish, but actually really dark) Mashiro Symphony (Breaks a big anime rule which is why I enjoyed it) Myself; Yourself (Haven't seen this for a long time, but it was a decent drama if memory serves correct) Nagi no Asukara (Best drama series of 2013, nuff said, highly recommended) Say "I love you" (A more realistic perspective on romance, good romantic drama) The Pilot's Love Song (fun series from last season, will have some good teary scenes) True Tears (Old series, pretty decent) There is more series, but does are the better ones. Tell me if any of the above series intrest you and i can give you some more information about them. |

Nisekoi Broken Blade Engaged to the Unidentified Hamatora (Getting a season 2 in the coming season) Golden Time (Same person who did ToraDora did this series, arguably better) Log Horizon (Season 2 in Fall) Pet Girl of Sakurasou Love, Chunibyo, and other Delusions |

Since you're overwhelmed with suggestions already, I'll just add a couple. Kuroko no Basket I'm not really a sports person in real life, but Kuroko no Basket makes it a very incredible experience in the world of basketball. A definitely good one to try. The World God Only Knows A romantic comedy of a guy who is the conqueror of winning over girls in the virtual gaming world. He is then faced with the task of capturing the hearts of real girls when he mistakenly accepts a challenge sent to him from the underworld. |
Black Butler
Soul Eater Hetalia |
I never got the appeal of Black Butler.

Best animes to start getting into anime is the more popular ones then stem out to non-mainstream series, so usually Sword Art Online and Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin). |
Quote:
I recommend you: as stated on this thread to watch the following (you can't be deceived by these) -Attack on titan ("Shingeki no Kyojin") -Gurenn Lagann Anime is better with the og voices and most aren't /will never be dubbed so yeah get used to subtitles use.. ×P |

FLCL is a good, short little series for those of you that are in your teens. I think you'd appreciate it as a "coming of age" story a bit better than something you'll be reading in highschool ala Catcher in the Rye. Equally cryptic and frustrating, though.

I have a feeling they are both great shows, in their own right, and perhaps cater to different audiences and tastes. You can both be right. :)

Only thing I've been able to find regarding the ending, is that the author likes to take long hiatus breaks and the manga resumed this month. |
I never saw Black Lagoon, so I can't compare it to HxH, but I can vouch that HxH has just an incredible script writing which comes into play with the story, even though the story itself has not ended, but the anime likely will take a break. The story does not need be over for it to be bad, it's not like Naruto or the other big three with their fillers. The characters are another thing that is just amazing about, not much generic characters and they've done very well in character development. I've recommended HxH to two of my friends and they've really liked the series as well. It's usually turned away, because of trash like the big three are bringing down the reputation of Shonen series.
More in-depth review on HxH. Source Spoiler

but, Black Lagoon has way better animation, art and VA. |

Edit: Even though MAL does not show all of the opinions of fans, it does show a large number of them. Black Lagoon is actually more popular due to the amount of people who has seen or is currently seeing it compared to Hunter x Hunter. My point was with the images was that the majority of people who is watching HxH really enjoys the anime and rates it highly compared to percentage of people who rate rates Black Lagoon highly. Most anime has a majority vote of 7/10 or 8/10, only a few has a majority of viewers rating it 9/10 or 10/10. |

I'm not about to watch episodes 1-125 to figure out what is so good about this show. |

Although I understand what you mean, I aswell would mos likely not spend time to watch over 100 episodes of one episode opposed to watching a bunch of other 12/25 episode series. |
Say "I Love You" :0 Thanks to Killua's recommendation, I watched it. It's my by far favorite top 1 romance anime. When I first saw it, judging by photos and stuff, I wasn't planning to watch it.
