It seems that Stefan dropped the ball last week and gave a tiny preview of what's going to be Zone for the iPhone. I thought it might be nice to have a pre-release forum to discuss any speculation/excitement/feelings you might have!

Sorry Stefan... Others are gonna love it so much but for me, i don't think it'll be worth anything for the content... Just gotta wait and see if its actually worth it...

Im sure alot of people have requested iZone and thats good to hear... But really? over Zodiac and Kingdom? I think those were requested alot more.

This is incorrect, Fowlplay4 has left the iZodiac project, but Stefan has said that it is still in the works. Whether it is actually being worked on is debatable, but it's still technically under development.

It's still being worked on, but Tig has said that he's busy with real life (which makes me wonder why he's head of the PWA and of two major servers, but whatever) and won't be able to work very much on it until he isn't.

Edit: There's no Zone iPhone or anything close to it in the server list. Is it possible that this is Classic iPhone 3? Maybe it isn't being released as its own server, maybe it's just a part of Classic iPhone...

Well then it's gonna be part of Era iPhone.

Oh yeah, of course, that's why it needs its own server! Why did I not think this through!?

Why else would it be called Era iPhone Zone? You'll probably connect to it through Era iPhone and it'll be presented as part of Era iPhone.

When it comes out I'm going on it, setting my name to Higbey, and getting out a stop watch and seeing how long it takes for Xor to warp to me and permaban me. On the Facebook server it only took a hour.

Looks nice, Zone could really use a redo. Zone is really fun if you have a lot of people, hopefully they don't screw that up!

I never chose to be permabanned by XOR. This really isnt a thread for me to discuss it on so I'll just post a summary here so we can get back on topic
I chose to stay banned. I'll come back now and then on fake accounts, but until anything really changes I'm not coming back.

And unless XOR is fired or quits or has a unfortunate accident leaving him comatose /dead I'm probably not going to be able to go around in zone or check it out.

Now is not the pace or time. I'll dig through my old stuff and paste it on the forum eventually. Will do the players good to learn the truth about some of these things and how far people will go to cover something up.

Yeah what it izone? Is it like era or classic? Or a mix of both? Or totaly different?

Wont say much but if it's the same concept as pc zone it will be pretty neat. Zone was on top of era back in the days when it was first released but then again everyone was more a era fan since they didn't like doing hard challenges which zone was all about. Era is just a run and hide shooting game zone advanced that and made it into a challenge. Let's see if they import the same features.

The only thing from zone that caught my attention are the mini games and open different worlds. If they don't import that into iZone, then im not paying a dime for the game or the content. Thats the only thing that made it iZone and not another gunfest

That's just the thing zone overall was a mini game, each area was a CTF which was pretty much the only thing people really played on there. I'm guessing you never heard about ol'West is was suppose to be better than era and had it's own gun style. The old era back in the days seen the stuff and quickly try to bring it's style into there world which kinda of kill the theme in a way . Era today isn't 100% it's own ideas they used content from other servers.

Era never had CTF and stuff back then it was just guns/gangs . Don't judge a book by it's cover lets all just wait and see what's the hype about.

I thought the same. SNK wanted something special for VIP and the server is called ´Era iPhone Zone´.
