I miss the old days of Runescape.

Yeah, I recently just came back in but it is boring without friends.

When you start playing? I started in 2009 and after so long its incredible how much of it has changed. I feel so lost in a members world it makes me sad. Back in 2010 when I was a member it was so easy getting around, but now.. I don't even know where to start its just huge. Not to mention we missed so many holiday quests I want to cry .-.

I believe I started November-December of 2009.

I am 17 this year, born in 97, so I was about 8-9 when I first made my account.

Note that I had an older brother who is now 21 who played it which is how I got into it and most of my holiday items were obtained with his help and I didn't really get "good" at the game until I was about 10-11.

I started playing it in 2008(?) and I'd spend all day playing it, I still have my 2008 Easter Cape. Quit in 2011. Now I come back to it to see how it's doing,
and it's just horrible.

They added pre EoC servers with old combat and such.

07 runescape were the days

I first started playing it back in 2006-10 then quit because it started changing a lot of good things.

They have 07 servers for members now, everything is 07

Omg that song brings so much memories (not the trap parts) but the original song for RuneScape. But that trap mix is pretty bad ass.

I remember in 2009 this guy uploaded a runescape private server and it had everything from 07 and even the same exp rate it was basically 07 all over, sadly it got shut down for law reasons.

I haven't played in a loonnngggg time but you make me want to. And I did lose my very first account (from 2007) ): So I made a new one like 2-3 years ago. It's pretty nooby since all I did was try to get 99 woodcutting on it first. (Skiller) then move on to the next. (Stats suck on it compared to my old)

Lol. Yeah, I've lost sight of what runescape really is because I agree with the developer's changes pertaining to gameplay aspects.

Goodluck getting a guild together when most the aspects the original runescape was all about are all gone(not that I miss it). Legacy is nothing but a joke and an attempt for jagex to bring back old players, not that they'll stay around long once they find out legacy combat is nothing but eoc minus abilities, goodluck pking outside a legacy only world too.

I got into it a few years ago for a bit. I quit in between the update that changed health for being, say...14 to 140 and the viking dungeoneering thing update. I remember having a phase where I did nothing but build my house. Didn't know jack crap about any of the other member activities, house building just trapped me for a bit.

I always enjoyed boss fighting and PK

Damn man. I don't even remember when I started. I just remember that it was all 2D and the text would appear at the top left of the screen, so I'm going to assume 2003. I used to play it all the time without knowing what I was doing, but I was always a F2P. Decided to buy membership last year after not playing it for 5 years and I was amazed. Boring as all hell because no one I played with plays it anymore, but it's definitely interesting. Chopping mahogany 4 dayz

I haven't played in forever but same here. I remember that it was not sellable, but if it is, I bet it would be sold for a freakin insane price. Unlimited snowballs :)

Game seems to be dead in F2P servers. Even more so than a few years ago.

Dead in most P2P worlds as well, i'm hoping everyone is hiding on 07 worlds.

The day 07 worlds opened it was insane, huge rush to get 99's, I got 80 woodcut and fletch in the first week and stopped playing, I am hoping Jagex managed to get rid of the 07 bots again thought as I would love to join back just wish it wasn't members only.

The day 07 worlds was beautiful, I was so pumped for it and seeing so many level 3's trying to complete waterfall quest was just insane as well

I remember me and my mate Kurtis doing the waterfall quest, ah the memories. Probably will be purchasing members next week after I get my paycheck and will start getting those skills up.

Don't have 6m to buy a bond? Are you poor or something? I never give irl money to jagex now, now all I need is time to justify buying membership....

I gave most of my stuff away when I left (before bonds were introduced) and most of my high valued items are member items so really in order to buy a membership bond I need to buy members to sell those items.

Could do what I did and spend a while collecting wine of zamorak in the monk temple. Pays pretty decent, could make the required money in 2 days without giving up your life completely.

That was how I trained mage originally, yews are also good (about 500gp each) been doing yews lately to boost woodcutting.

Sucks as a money making method though versus what I suggested.

Collecting wine only gives around 500k per hour. I like catching swamp lizards, makes around 1 mill per hour, only need 30 hunter and is fairly afk as you just need to click a few times every 10 seconds or so.
