Expensive Price Charges

I think this is a pretty big topic if you ask the Graal Community. This topic really sparked today when the snowball soccer ball was released in Onnet Town. For something like 5.2k you can buy a simple snowball to kick around your guildhouse for 20mins then get bored. I think this is stupid and something like that should be priced at the most 1500gralats.

Notorious# 12-13-2011 08:32 AM

Seriously, Big topic? It's a virtual soccer ball.

Stefan is just coding the game... Idk what the hell are people saying by "Stefan is the cause of the prices in the game" blasphemy...

And its a holiday exclusive item! Of course it needs to have some value!
And really? are we really going back with the whole mask thing? its your fault you paid 20K for the mask when it first came out

They do tend to overprice things on the holidays. I guess they do it because they're exclusive holiday items.

Its funny how prices cut down on October and November... Then all of a sudden the prices go way up high in December

Yup. I liked the one gralat hats, but I guess that was a one time thing. On thanksgiving we had to buy a $15,000 turkey to get in.

WarrLordd 12-13-2011 02:04 PM

People still complain cause they want everything that is released in their inventory . If that was to be the case graal would be boring by now everyone would have the same stuff and updates would make it not as much exciting.

If you miss out on 10 items for the christmas update it isn't the end of the world.
Play smart don't rush new items wait for other stuff they would all be there at the end of the holiday for purchase or be like true graalians and farm for everything.
You never know one day we could add a snow man morph which you would rush and buy then the next day a yeti and you would be pissed.

You just made me generally "tl;dr" almost all post I will see from you hence-forth for your general lack of knowledge, but trying to prove to people that you DO, in fact, have said knowledge (despite it lacking in quantity and quality).

Stefan is a NAT (a scripter). HOWEVER, he is the Owner of the server and does, in fact, set the prices.

You thinking different is a blasphemy. You blasphemous person, you.

If people have a problem with it I doubt they'll buy it.And like others said it's probably because of the holidays.

Plus it's just a snowball you play soccer with maybe they should have made it so you can have snowball fights with other people?I don't know just an idea,Then people might have looked at it differently.

The money from iTunes Cards goes to Apple>EUROCENTRE>Stefan.

He doesn't make as much from this as you would think that he does, so don't pull the "He is greedy and wants us to pay for his house" Card.

unixmad handles most the financial stuff and is the one responsible for most these things, but its stefans fault too, he seems to just be Unixmads puppy dog.

Don't know why you seem to hate so much about the administration of graal. Sure they're lazy asses, but they are video game makers that do it as a career. They have to make money, whatever means possible. When they're game isn't a big hit, and they have a loyal community, they must exploit them... pretty much.

Higbey 12-14-2011 12:24 AM

they dont need to, you think games like angry birds would have gotten this popular if they had acted like Unixmad and Stefan? notice minecraft is only for a one time fee to buy it, and you get all this great stuff.... thats how you get people. creative games, treating the community right, good features...

look at Zenonia, imagine how much money they would make if they made that multiplayer. its alot like graal, a ltp based rpg in a medeval fantasy setting with play customation and such, look at how cheap zenonia is, imagine how much graal could make if it was like a online version of that. more content.

maybe we would get more scripters if Stefan and Unixmad would make the right choices and this game would have a future, paying some scripters instead of relying on volunteer work might help too.

as for the not making enough, and the server costing more, total bull****, there are games with much better graphics and more players AND PAID DEVS that dont cost this much to run.
if Stefan wasnt so scared of advertisements we might be better off.

apparently his own staff showing distrust in him and Unixmad still wasnt enough to get him to change.

Honestly, paid Dev staff is the only way Graal is going to see some serious and awesome improvement and motion. Volunteer work only goes so far, and I will not lose sleep over Graal if I don't "make a deadline". I'm not getting paid, so why am I caring/worrying?

Oh. I'm not.

....wait wait wait... no no Az, im supposed to say that, and the staff are supposed to call me a naive idiot and say that everything Stefan and Unixmad are doing is right and that im whining too much and various troll memes.....

you cant agree with me....this...this doesnt...how...your supposed to...

Anyway your right, Twinny has to pay the bills some how, same with you, same with FP4, same with Rufus,

Heck, if Stefan and Unixmad paid Tig and he managed to get old west and ikingdoms going they would profit off it and it would pay off all of Tigs pay within a around month and a half (loosely, too many variables to predict, most likely depending on how much Tig got paid how iPhone players reacted to it, wether it was going to be another one of those join for a week, quit, go back to classic things like what happened to iera with some players)

Yephenpeace 12-14-2011 04:53 AM

If you find it expensive, don't buy it.
Problem solved.

glitcher 12-14-2011 06:01 AM

Buying items is good for you. Obviously since we are approaching christmas time we will be receiving iTunes gift cards and what better thing to spend them on other than snowflake soccer balls. Graal is a trainer for real life consumerism where you don't have the money for everything and you must make choices on what you really NEED and what you can hold off on.

And no I'm NOT trolling I'm serious.

I guess the administration believes that the steady minimal money they're receiving is the most they're going to get, which is wrong. If they step it up, reach out to broader audience, maybe ADVERTISE once in a while, we could see our servers reach at least 10k players.

.....

your saying that graal....is training us for real life consumerism......
yes, maybe if you live in a area where all products are made by volunteers and the government has a monopoly and control over everything, and where head gear is worth more than a car.

im sorry but if you think real life works like this your in for a big shock, as for deciding what to buy and managing money, everything involves that, we all learn about oportunity costs and such, and graal is the last place to go to learn about the value of money and how to buy wisely,

how many "buy this expensive morph, get access to another shop with slightly less expensive things" scams have you seen on graal? then again all thats being sold is graphics and ganis. no content,

until we get scripters that are paid I doubt we will progress, and if Stefan keeps this up we will go no where.

so much potential, so sad when bad choices by Stefan and Unixmad are making it look like its gonna stay like this forever.

Dolce 12-28-2011 03:07 AM

Maybe Advertise the app on other website a lot of people would visit like Youtube for example. And when you first start off the game it shouldn't be boring there should be some little quest for players to bring them in the game and maybe give some free content for the quest. When I first started playing Graal it was fun for the first 5mins then it got all boring and lame I would get on like one time every month and after I found out you can actually make money and buy some cool stuff I started to like the game. So maybe if you can expand this server have like lobbies example lobby_1, lobby_2 etc. and maybe just maybe we will get more players to play the game.
