It's about that time of season that this started again, so let the games begin! Don't get this one closed this time you dogs.

Most spar threads turn into a huge argument and get closed anyway.

Yeah, but one of these was going to be made eventually and GST time is coming close. So it might as well happen now. I'm still forming my predictions, I'm eager to see those of others atm.

For Mixed the usuals (In Order)

-Alumni
-SLX
-Apostles


For iDevice (In Order)

-Alumni
-Blitz


This is from what I believe however Alumni haven't practiced much as a team so maybe SLX might take the win, and I would put Memory in for both but they haven't practiced in so long.

BDB deserve their GST Win it's only a matter of time, they had an amazing team. Rumor has it they are returning for Summer GST 2015.

I think that mixed will come down to : apostles , snc and alumni
And idev will be blitz alumni and 5pa4 ...

Some underdogs out there but I'm just stating the most probable outcomes

I'd say maybe there won't be any gst if the servers aren't backed up!

Memory idevice GST is fully active and we're no lifing. :)

Here's my prediction:
Mixed - Alumni, just have the strongest individual pc players in one spot >~>
iDevice - Memory, the deadly North America sparrer team! :smile:

I wouldn't count on the GST being on the 30th being as that the server can't even load a friends list properly right now, and the GST is (now more than ever) a laggy mess that is highly-influenced by staff interference so I have no predictions really

Alumni isn't practicing enough, I don't count on them as much as did before

Don't need practice to win GST, just need to be in the right mood to team spar. Once you learn to spar you don't really forget.

Practicing as a team is important. Just because you don't forget to spar half of your team could rush and die within seconds an that would leave at a disadvantage. Everyone has to be on the same page practice produces chemistry.

A team who never practices in guild spar vs a team who always practices.

An athlete who practices vs one who never trains

didn't practice with the full (Nessa) guild at all, won.

Mixed isn't idev sweetie, and "full" means you practiced with atleast some.

and i must have missed the part where you said "mixed teams need to practice to win" unless you're just adding your personal opinions like "mixed gst means more than idevice gst" when theres only like 3 decent mixed teams and way more idevice players = more competition.

Dante even told me yesterday he doubted Alumni winning just for the fact you all barely practice, some of you even 1v1.

Every single spar thread I've seen that has de-railed has had Thallen involved :). Not saying that he's responsible (or the opposite) but god damn it's like he's a 100 watt bulb and all the moths come' a buzzin. Do moths buzz?

I think no one will win because someone will come in and sake the sacred words.

You don't need to practice for gst team to get better ... Half of them use stupid vpn and other proxies to delay in spar so now it's really a competition of who can delay the most ... Not one winning team now a day has a team with out any delayers

but i agree, the delay teams are getting out of control. don't know how certain people can still support them and call them skilled players. actually i do know but i'm not about to de-rail the thread.

I don't have a prediction, but I hope a worthy team with skillful, modest(not Thallen) players wins. I don't like people with that big of an ego, even if they can somewhat back it up.

this whole thing where everyone is now claiming that everyone else uses a "VPN" (implying that delay makes you better?) is probably one of the stupidest things that has ever plagued the sparring community

1 or 2 scrubs tried this in the last Mixed tournament and got rocked, there's really no point in pretending it's a problem or passing it off as any excuse for losing

I think it's pretty safe to say BDB will win both GSTs.

No delaying team deserves the least respect for winning a GST, since we all know anyone can smash them without their delay.

Mixed: (Alumni) and maybe another team if they start to show up, since the pc teams usually show up at last second lol

If someone is delaying on your screen, then they are delaying on their own screen aswell so it's balanced.
