Private Body/Head/Customs
 

Guys I have this body that I made from scratch long ago and I made a recolor in red/skin color last Halloween. Now someone has that same body as mine(the one I currently wear, but in red).

Now I don't really mind people using my body, but this person, not gonna call him out, claimed that he made it himself. Which really made me mad because it was like his saying that he made this body in the 6hrs that took me to make it.

So my question is how does one get a private body/head/custom from? Is there a site that does this? I just wanna know so I can atleast see it for myself and not feel confused inside.

The website GraalDepot is the main source of Graphic stealing. The people that run that website use a data reading tool such as iFile to rip the files straight from the game, since they become cached on your device whenever you come across them in game.

The sad thing is that it is allowed for people to use other peoples graphics without their permission. As long as it has been uploaded on Graal it is property of Graal and no longer yours.

You cant do anything about other people steal your work, its sad i know it because a guy stole my tiger head.

I take a decision, i wont make another personal custom only if i'm secure that nobody can wear it or use it

Well I mean... in actuality it's impossible to enforce any sort of way to prevent stealing graphics. To do so would be an effort in futility... if you put your stuff on the internet at all, someone, somewhere, is going to steal it and there is nothing you can do about it. Trust me, there are about three games out there profiting off of my art.

Ya I agree with how its useless to prevent stealing but isn't there some kind of way to credit the person that actually made it first.

About your art couldn't you like sue them for copyright, if they are profiting off it?

Nope, it's just like censoring chat. They can and will bypass it. There is no algorithm we could implement that would be able to accurately detect stolen graphics that people couldn't find out simple ways to bypass... and even if we did, it would be VERY late to the game and thus, there's already thousands of graphics on the server... how would we determine who REALLY owns what.

Those sort of things are not really in favor of the little guy. The best someone like me can do is send them an e-mail asking them to remove it and hope they're actually pretty decent people that weren't really trying to do damage or anything... but most of the time they're not. Sometimes they'll respond that they're going to remove it and don't, some just don't respond. In the cast of one game on X-box Live arcade even filing a report through Microsoft(the game was using stolen art from various Minecraft texture packs), it was a waste of time.

Typically not even big companies will go to the extreme of actually suing anyone, they just have their lawyers send out scary Cease and Desists and such that typically deal with most minor copyright issues. Dealing with courts and lawyers is such an expensive process that just fighting for something you actually have legal reason to fight for can end up with you going bankrupt... and that's actually a strategy big business will employ--where they have the money to just keep little people in court until they bankrupt and can't fight the case anymore.

they don't give a dam to ifile it back just to give the personal head to u.how are they profiting off of it?if they want it,usually they really like it but might not give u credit for it.

If you can't prevent people from stealing graphics. Why can't we make an official website just for public heads/bodies, like we did for public shields/swords on TaylorRichaards?
We can make new sections in TaylorRichaards for public heads/bodies. We can see all the list of heads/bodies and when we click on it, it displays the original head maker and code that can be used in game and we have to pay 10k/20k for buying it.
This will allow a lot more server space and the credits goes to the real gfx artists.

Answer to all problems: Put your name on the head. Then they have explaining to do.

I can easily edit names out.

Simple. Become staff, upload said head or body to your PC account and BAM! It's private. If someone else takes it then it's legal to remove/deny it from anyone else or the server. It also gives you credibility later so that if you upload it and someone else has it later on even you can just claim they're impersonating staff.

Anybody with this mindset should not be allowed to be staff

I don't really mind if people use or edit my bodies. The part that made me mad was the part where this person said that he was the "original owner" of the body, claiming it his. If he had said that he got it from a website or that he edited some parts I wouldn't have minded it.

Why don't they just say the truth...not like I can actually take the body away from their account or something.

Nothing can be done about stealing graphics. No point complaining about it, imo the best thing to do is to drop the ego and not give af if people use your graphics/claim they made them.

Or do what most smart people do and wear the head saying hi to everyone tell them how yah made it, if someone sees someone else wearing it they know its yours and not that persons, not saying MrSimons is wrong, this is just a 2nd option.

There's no way around it really… Posting anything on the internet can be stolen do it at your own risk~

No one really has a choice but to show it off, once uploaded its no longer their property its graals. So even if they didnt want to, they'd be showing everyone the upload and out of those people shown the customs will be stolen. Circle of Life

I had a guy on Era steal my custom head with my name on it, then changed his name to Craftz and made a youtube channel called Craftz Graal or something. He claimed he made the head and I was impersonating him on Classic.

I had something similar. Some dude used to wear my name shield and try to claim he was the original.
