Seriously, don't take the job at some website that steals customs. Keep it your own idea.

I don't care that their site steals customs, but I care more so that it looks like a monkey shat on Wordpress and called it a site. It's so bad.

Honestly I don't understand why there's so much hate for graaldepot, maybe the fact that they steal heads.... That's not even under my control, I am not an admin in that field, I only write the newsletter. Graaldepot or not, the news is still the same,I wouldn't mind but I guess you guys are different. I dunno if I should continue with my own website, even if I did I've lost all my readers.

I don't know either. To be honest GraalDepot isn't that bad of a site. I feel like the negative stigma is from stuckup artists who can't stand the thought of not getting credit for something they made, or edited...

They also used to have a pretty nice looking layout. However now that they changed it up I'd agree with what Newton said.

UGHHGH I'm so lost, many people are saying I've lost loyal reader because graalian times has now been moved to graaldepot. I really didn't think it would come to this! Please help me decide, stay with graaldepot or get bak to my own site?

Some people want to keep their art private.
And that's why it make them so mad.

If you want private art message depot and they will remove it, if people stopped complaining they wouldn't be so blind to the fact that Graal Depot will gladly remove things.

Trust me, they only remove stuff if they feel like it, I have had many friends who submitted removals and it never happened.

Once you upload anything to Graal, it becomes public property.

Most people who find someone using a head that they made would be flattered.

If anyone actually takes something that someone else made and claims it as their own, they're not even worth anyone's time. Because anyone that insecure probably already has a pretty crappy life anyway.

Bruh if it was all about credits alot wouldn't give a damn hyena about it.
But some people wants to inspire people to make their own custom.
Being bad at gfx isn't an excuse for stealing someone's else, it's something you can develop with time.

A lot of people actually use heads from Graal depot and edit them to their personal tastes. So in fact, the creators of this art are inspiring others. A lot of people can't make a head from scratch, but Graal Depot gives them something they can start with, and make their own creations from.

I would do whatever seems right to you. Maybe do a poll and see how many people truly care and decide based off of that.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what he said.

My issue is not with the content of their site, it's the attempted monopoly of Graal-related web content. I like the idea of many people having Graal-related websites, each specializing and pushing their own individual content. You have a solid idea here, you don't need to do it under someone else's umbrella for them to take credit and advertising revenue from it.

I hate them for a different reason... They stole my website idea :dazed:

It's not because most people can be flattered that everyone will be.

I'd be flattered if someone stole my art. But I wouldn't jump off of a bridge if someone else did. Another person who had their art stolen isn't influencing me to be flattered. Plus they're both kinda unrelated.

Yes but it is not the goal to make them inspired by editing customs.
The goal is to inspire to make gfx without having to edit/recolor.
And if you can't make a head from scratch then try again.
Practice and learn. Try and retry. Nothing is ugly unless you decide it is.
Nothing is to waste or to be useless, everything is to be one step closer from perfection.
Graal depot don't allow people to get to their full capacity.
It keep them stuck to the base level where they can't figure out how to start the head.
The ones who suceeded in gfx are the ones who developped their own styles, if you create a head based on someone's else style, you will be staying with incomplete skills and when facing challenges that demands you to go past your limits you aren't able to fully get through the challenges. And it makes them think they aren't good enough, they loose their interests in creating for editing the ones who already learned that their creations will always be awesome for as long as they will think they are. Others do not decide for us. If you created something you must be proud of it.
Ask yourself, are you proud of your creations? Or of the creations of the others?
To be better, you must first learn to accept your creations before the other's can accept yours.
The bridge is as tall as the ignorance of the human that is on top of it.
The most of all will not always be the ones that will survive.
Because it is the few left behind that learns the most.
The pack will need each other to survive, while the lone wolf can take care of himself on his own.

If most people are flattered, it doesn't mean everyone will be.
If most people jumps off the bridge, it doesn't mean everyone will be.
What those two have in common is that "the most" is not always right.

Coming from someone who steals and edits graphics himself, your argument looses all validity

Can they just lower the price...because this whole stealing stuff for paying a private price isn't worth the price because it has lots of holes as everyone can see.

Can graal make an option for public for head and body for half the price like they do with shields. I think then there would be less motivation for stealing privates because of the public heads that are being made would balance it out.

graal depot is very useful. I like their font books.
but I agree with rufus. graal depot is the biggest graal website.
so just start fresh with ur own website.
